Wade “seriously concerned” about Mitchell’s desire to be in Utah

Trumpists really. Donald Trump completely co-opted the Republican party and its platform. The platform is now Donald Trump worship and whining about everything. That’s it.

I am a center-leftist, and people who still identify as Republican after the last four years deserve every ounce of **** they get.
I'm pretty sure the bylaws here are that you are not allowed to call anyone racist if you don't also clearly identify them as a republican or conservative. TYVFM
Its crazy how the left (biden dementia iq's) will derail a thread around here they don't like, maybe you should keep your political takes in the other forum if it doesn't relate to the Jazz.

Needless to say, I'm still waiting for @Wes Mantooth to explain DM's "Black" frustrations to the JazzFanz community.

I said i've heard racist stuff from people regardless of their party affiliation. That means some Democrats are guilty too. Read the whole thing instead of knee jerk reacting, you dolt. Jump off the cross.

For DM and some filler, i'm sure there's a shot. Might as well strike while the irons hot, dont pull a DL and set the franchise back another 10 years by not getting any value.

You're the one who said "If I was a black man who's endured these frustrations"

What frustrations?

I already said the frustrations you ****ing moron.

I can generally agree with these (https://8cantwait.org/), though I haven't seen them in depth. It's frustrating to watch police pull their sidearm as a first response. Not only that, they normally fire at the suspect without giving a warning shot, and some just reflexively blast away until they've emptied their clip. They're obviously shooting to kill.
They're trained to shoot to kill, from what I've researched and been told by officers in my family. There's logic to it - you fire multiple shots to make sure the threat is neutralized, instead of one shot that can miss. One shot also isn't always enough to stop someone. Joe Biden was wrong - it's actually really hard to hit a moving target in the leg or arm. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with any of that, but that's the logic of shooting to kill and emptying a clip. I haven't heard the policy and/or defense of not firing a warning shot.

However, I absolutely can't defend (or contain my rage when) an officer will just walk up to a door, or a traffic stop, or just any citizen, with their hand already on their firearm. I'm pretty sure that's against policy, and logic, and human decency, but you'll never see them punished for it. (I could be wrong about the policy portion.) They carry other alternatives for a good reason - the cause of some shootings is simply because their hand is already on the gun. That hand shouldn't be on that gun unless you're about to pull it.

You were the first person to make this thread political by mentioning Vice President Harris's grandparents (for some reason, like it's a gotcha or something?) You did the derailing. So, keep your political takes to yourself or in the other forum if you don't want others to share theirs.

Lolol. Think before you speak next time. Try to understand sarcasm.

When you stop seeing good in others it is poisonous to society. That is why Racism is super bad and why being political to the extreme (left or right) is slightly harmful too.

But at the same time we should have open discussions of what we feel or think is lacking or we also don't improve. It's hard to balance everything and thread the needle but sometimes the great/rare leaders like MLK Jr or Abraham Lincoln could do that.

So call me crazy, but how is this different from every other star? Are LeBron and Ad happy? Luka? Kawhi and PG last year or if they get bounced by suns. Durant, Harden, Kylie. All of them are have had greener grass cross their minds. Winning gives amnesia, so yes this next year is important, and sounds like RS pretty much paid Wade to be his buddy here, so the ball is rolling.

Its a looming issue with time to change. Changes are being made. Hopefully they are enough and the right ones. Comes down to winning.

I just listened to a podcast from 1280 the Zone today as well. Monson and Jake aren’t my favorites, but Monson said in regards to Windhorsts report today: “I’ve heard whispers of this for a while now, but I didn’t see the need to report it until it was public, but now it’s public”. Like it’s pretty clear at this point the smoke, whispers, whatever you want to call it have been becoming a louder secret. Donovan’s not happy here, and it’s not much of a secret anymore.

I won't be surprised when Donovan AD's us next year. Player empowerment! Gotta love it

I definitely think he's out of here the first chance he gets. I just hope we can get at least 3 more seasons out of him before we have to trade him. I don't even think it's about the Jazz so much as the state of Utah, I don't think he wants to be here anymore. We could win a championship in the next year or two and he'd still likely leave when his contract is up.

Gotta love another Racism topic that rambles off into Marxism, Kamala Harris' great grandparents history, he said-she said bogus claims, Trump this Obama that - bull crap.

The internet sucks again.

Be the change you want people. Treat other people with respect on and offline.

PS. I love watching donovan play. I hope he retires as a jazz man with a few rings to boot.

People speculate that Don is unhappy here due to all the supposed race factors. My argument is that Don is unhappy here because of Rudy.

Don knows he's the straw that stirs the drink. Since his rookie year, he has been ascending yet Rudy gets his *** kissed at every turn. Everybody knows Rudy also has shortcomings, but everybody just makes excuses for him nonstop. Many people blame Don before Rudy when it's clearly obvious Rudy is many times part of the problem.

Rudy irritates people. If he's often making comments in the media about not getting the ball and others not doing their jobs, he's probably doing it in practice too. Rudy is that WR who is always open and has to say something every time in the huddle.

Don is a superstar and he's probably over dealing with Rudy's antics. I don't think this is enough to make Don want to leave, but it's probably irritating.

As you can guess from my screen name, I've worked on political campaigns for years. I've campaigned in literally half of the counties in Utah, knocking on thousands of doors, having thousands more conversations with random folks when you include events and phone calls. There's a racist stigma because a hell of a lot of Utahns *are actually racist.* (Regardless of political party, btw.) I've heard some truly offensive stuff all over this **** hole of a state. I've heard even worse things second hand from the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks I've campaigned with. I'm a blue eyed blonde haired white guy, and I think the rest of the state thinks I'm a safe person to say that trash to since I look the way I do.

Now I know you're going to go "well not all Utahns" and "and Utah isn't the only racist state" and yeah, obviously. I wouldn't even say the majority of Utahns are racist. But there's enough to be a problem. Thinking otherwise is just denial or ignorance.
Again, you are misinterpreting my post or maybe I was not clear. I am not defending Utah against racism. All I am saying is that they did not invent it. Does this excuse the racist behavior shown by some Jazz fans? Absolutely not. However sometimes the media makes it sound like Utah is the only place where there is racism. I am not in denial nor am I ignorant. I have nieces and a nephew who are multi-race and I have had eye witness experiences what they go through. My sister dated and married a black man and I was lucky enough to answer a call one night with the caller telling me that if my sister didn't stop dating the n word our house was going to be bomb. I lived in Connecticut at the time. Racism is a problem EVERYWHERE. It is a global issue. That is what I was saying and I was not downplaying racism in Utah either. I see it in full color.
