I'm so torn on Kessler. Sometimes he looks like the next Rudy and then the next game (like last night), he was pure trash. He did nothing, but hurt the team in most of his minutes and then a couple times rush at the last moment to try blocking a shot to make it look like he was doing something positive out there. He is just so inconsistent.

He just a terrible offensive player. Anyone comparing him to Rudy offensively is blind or have a really short attention span and don't even remember how good Rudy was at the things he did offensively.

Dude has a -0.6 OBPM which is an insanely low number for a guy who only takes the easiest shots in an offense.

He's more like Brook Lopez without post moves or a jump shot, but w/ a quick jump ability.

And for teh people who arent as well versed, Brook Lopez is an incredible paint defender. It's not a diss. Walker jsut doesnt have the vertical athleticism or fire to be Rudy Gobert on either end.

I dont know why someone stating a fact is so triggering to some people. Brook Lopez in his early career wass just as bad a three point shooter as kessler statistically. Worse actually. Thats just a fact. Not a reach or an opinion. Its also not a declaration that kessler will ever be as good as lopez at shooting or offense. Its not a declaration that Kessler will ever even be a decent offensive player.
Personally i think that kessler likely will never be a good offensive player. If he is on the court then I think its for defensive purposes. im also 100% certain that if we were on a new jersey nets fan board back in 2010 and someone said that they think that brook lopez will be a really good three point shooter one day then I would have said that they were crazy. He literally didn't attempt a 3 point shot in his first 5 seasons. He didn't get over 14% from 3 until his 9th season. Just like I would say to anyone who says that Kessler is likely to become a good three point shooter some day that they are crazy. Even though kessler shot 33% from three as a rookie.

Thee simply said that in a garbage *** tank season there is no harm in letting Kessler shoot open threes in the hopes that he might improve. Hardy seems to agree with that since he allows (maybe even encourages) kessler to shoot open threes. Not seeing the need for the drama.

It's not a fact.... Like just do a modicum of research and don't be a total moron.

People get triggered because it's a stupid thing to say. Lopez was an extremely talented offensive player who nailed his FTs. Walker is an offensive klutz who cant shoot FTs straight.
 
Also shooting 3s in game does not help you become a better 3pt shooter if you can't actually shoot 3s....

It's an embarrassment we let Walker shoot those and it's a huge huge huge huge admittance that Walker is such a a bad offensive player we are desperate enough to let him try that **** because he has nothing else.

Also doesn't help that our best self creator, Sexton, does not work well with Walker on the court. Also doubly doesn't help that our best X factor guy is Dunn, who definitely can't play with Walker.

So you think its not a fact that Lopez was a bad three point shooter early in his career? Show your work. (i should have put 3 point shooter in my post rather than outside as that was what thee posted)
Do you think 0% is a good percentage? If so, why?

The research was right in the post. 5 years of ZERO%. 8 years under 14%.

Not sure why this data triggers you so much. Its kinda strange.

Among all 2-man lineups with at minimum 150 minutes played together, Kessler-Dunn has the highest net rating on the entire team.

The 2-man lineup of Sexton/Kessler has a higher net rating than any 2-man lineup featuring Sexton with another big.

Why are you dying on this stupid hill? Brook did not shoot 3s early in his career because he had self awareness. I think a guy who does not shoot 3s isn't a bad shooter, he just knows what he was good at and stuck to that thing. I'm sure if he attempted 3s early in his career, it would have been a much better result than what Walker is currently regurgitating.

Again, just look at the FT % early in Brooks career and then tell me with a straight face Walker is the better shooter. Put down the opiates

He attempted 3's in those seasons. In one season that he attempted 3's he shot zero percent. In another he shot 14%. Not sure why you are trying to argue that Lopez was a good three point shooter early in his career. I will continue to wait for the proof.
You seem to be saying that Lopez was aware that he, like kessler, sucked at shooting threes and thats why he didn't attempt them. So ya, they both sucked at shooting threes. That was the whole point.

Im not dying on a hill. The evidence shows that they both sucked at threes. its not my opinion. it isn't what i "think". Its just a fact that you seem to agree with but still want to argue against yourself for some strange reason.
