Walker Kessler Should No Longer Play Until KO is Traded

Did you miss everything I just said? lol. The current effectiveness of Lauri with or without Kessler does not matter. Building a team around Lauri is not the same as developing Lauri. The best thing for Lauri's development is to continue to play with a variety of different units. Playing a few minutes with a traditional 5 like Kessler is helping his development, not hurting it.

The ironic thing is that this sample size is so tiny, but if you used it you would know that Lauri individually has played significantly better with Kessler on the floor than without him. So if you just looked at what's happened on the court this year, you would come to the conclusion that Kessler on the court with Lauri is a must. Pts, reb, assist, and efficiency are massively up when he's shared the floor with Kessler. It is not close.
Yeah, you aren't understanding the point of what I'm saying at all.

There was a reason Kessler got benchee in the 2nd half...

He might get some more run tonight, but his minutes are going to be dropping because Hardy realizes how important getting Lauri more 5 minutes with the guard dominant lineups is.

What is the point then? Is Kessler good or bad for Lauri's development or not and why? It's an objective fact that Lauri has played significantly better as an individual with Kessler, although that does not factor into my opinion as to whether or not playing Kessler+Lauri is good for Lauri's development.

Also, hardy choosing to play/bench Kessler is not a decision on Lauri's development. It's a decision on what he feels is best to win the game that night.

Lakers are also one of the best defensive teams in the NBA so idk why you would want to make the team easier to defend. Need to keep the spaced wing/guard centric lineups out there.
Eh, we had a really good record back when kessler was in the regular rotation.

I stated it was a very holistic thing, not just about Lauri. It's the way the league is trending and it helps everyone develop better for the roles they will play when the team is optimized better.

Cy does this weird **** where he makes a terrible claim and almost immediately is proven wrong then he doubles down and goes overboard.

Walker "Career Backup" Kessler

Kessler played great the first 6 games of the season and now he shouldn’t play at all according to Cy.

Sexton "swindled us"

Sexton has played great and now Cy said he’s only worth 8 million a year.

THT is "amazing"

THT has played like absolute **** yet Cy thinks he should be getting more minutes.

It really is rinse and repeat with him.

The guy got blocked at the rim by a 6'1 guy on the Rockets...
I believe you are referring to the game he got blocked by Grahamn in NO... it was the same game we won by 1 point in overtime and he had 7 pts 9 rebs 2 assists and 2 blocks in 22 minutes and was a +9 for the game.

But yeah he had a bad play so should have been immediately yanked.

He wants to be Nostradamus but then when the predictions don't work out he says "well I didn't know xyz". And he gets super mad that people don't forget and keep score... like when he said we aren't trading Don or that we can rest easy cause we will be awful.

Cy - Dude, slow down. There's too many posts to downvote. This is going to have to be an all-encompassing DOWNVOTE for this mind-numbing thread.

Eliza - I like ya, but you are going overboard on the Gobert posts. We get it, he isn't playing amazing, but most people on here really like Gobert.

Go Jazz.

I don't think Lauri should play full time at the 5. I think he could in certain lineup combos. I get that he's a weapon matched up against 5s on a spaced floor. But he's really a big wing who can play most frontcourt matchups and create advantages. He's not getting blown by defensively.

I think Lauri is pretty much our Walmart version of Giannis.

No one has said that.

He's the Draymond for our team (not the same player obviously for you people who want to take everything as literally as possible). He's the guy who starts at the 4, but finishes at the 5 ideally.

*Also* this kind of relies on the Jazz obtaining/developing wings. I assume that is the goal of the franchise given how the NBA is going and we have the assets to get that done, so I think the goal now should be to develop Lauri to play that role as it will most likely be the future in important minutes. Obviously if all the wings are trash and our best player happens to be a 5, you'd play him more. I dont think that guy is going to be Walker Kessler though.

Nostradamus? I just have fun making predictions. If I'm wrong so what? If I'm right it's just a lucky guess. The idea that any of us is smart/dumb for being right/wrong on a trade prediction is the lamest **** this board has come to. I have no idea why some people here are so obsessed with being right or wrong about these kinds of things.

Like it or not, people here want to ride my dick no matter what. I got criticized for predicting Bogey to NYK by my ultimate rider, White Chocolate. I have no idea why because absolutely no one got the Bogey trade prediction right, but for some reason he wanted to ride me about that.

The only thing I really care about on a right/wrong level is player evaluations, and I get more hits than misses on those, especially on developing players and the draft.

And back to Don, it took a last moment offer from Cleveland for the trade to happen. I was wrong, so what? How many people predicted him to Cleveland? Should I just be mealy mouthed and wishy-washy on this board so I dont get criticized? That sounds boring to me.

I mean this with all sincerity. Generally speaking, it is more how you write your posts than what is in them. Sometimes, I downvote you for content but more often it is when you write an opinion as a very matter-of-fact or condescending. You come off as a narcissist, like "I'm right and you're wrong." It's ok to write something like, "I think this is going to happen, but it may not." People will be far more receptive, even if the opinion is way out there. Also, your negative leaning post are very unnecessary attacking, like "Sexton sssuuuuuuuccccccckkkks!!!" You could write something like, "Sexton isn't playing great tonight, I don't think he is going to work out in our system, but will have to wait and see." I don't know if I speak for most, but you would get a lot less grief from me.

Also for the clown who spent the whole off-season slobbing on RJ Barret and now wants to **** on THT.
Bruh... why you so obsessed with who is right and who is wrong. The point of this board is to throw wild **** against the wall for fun... Kind of like what THT does with his drives.

Again, someone who either doesnt read what I'm posting or just being purposefully obtuse (I know that's kind of your thing along with sarcasm when you are wrong). We call these people dick riders.

I clearly said I only care about right/wrong on player evaluations.

Whatever man... then continue with arrogant **** posting if that's what you like... lots of us like to point and laugh when you are wrong.

Down Payment Theory was likely the thing I was most wrong about... and literally one person has brought it up multiple times... Care to guess who? And I don't care... I was wrong (although not wrong thus far on THT).
