Among all the babble on RWR, our only respectable media format, ha ha.....there was a report that on his dismissal Bannon tweeted "War".
So now Trump is surrounded almost entirely by Democrat generals and other CFR sorts of globalists. It looks like we get "Hillary's War" after all.
Of course I actually know nothing, as Bulletproof has pointed out many times, and of course I'm just a psychological wreck incapable of being socialized in a politically-correct manner, so all I have to offer in evidence are a few line items from my CV:
I had a brother who was a chemical weapons specialist for the army, another who was a naval sharpshooter. I fell heir to the mock war plans soldiers were trained on in the sixties, and studied them in the eighties, and knew we were going to be fighting wars in the Mideast.
I trained an Iranian here on a student visa as well. He gave me a Koran, and I read it. He was a nice guy, still is, and is actually a billionaire. During the Bush years he did his level best to talk down the rhetoric about war with Iran. And Iraq.
So anyway, despite whatever impressions I have left with all my political views on Hillary there is one thing I have to admit in her favor. She is not just stupid. Neither is former Pres Obama. When you are trying to figure out why they do what they do, the answer is never "oh, he/she is just stupid". And even with an alleged IQ of 174, I cannot say so much for Pres. Trump.
With Hillary or Obama, there were undisputed millions in payola flying around on every side, and none of us needed to worry about our interests being just sold out, exactly. Well, America's interests were, of course, entirely irrelevant. It was their own interests you could be dead certain they would never neglect. And we the peasant chumps could sleep well at nights, well knowing that there was nothing we needed to worry our silly heads about. As long as our enemies could come and take whatever they wanted peacefully, and inexpensively in comparative terms.... well hundreds of millions are a few orders of magnitude cheaper than any war....we could just sleep like babes.
So Bannon was the poor little dove in a flock of generals, and now he's out. Our generals will tell Pres. Chump we can win, and in his world view, nothing else matters, really. Oh, good. We win.
When I first heard about Bannon's war tweet, I was thinking NK. Had to be the number one topic on mentally challenged media news, after whatever snide DumpTrump chatter du jour you had to wade through to get any actual "news". But no, it's Afghanistan. Russia and China are there as I ramble, seeking favor from the people we bomb outta house and cave while our friends are raking in the opium harvest....
not so many years ago, our pet domestic libs had a clever little movie out, called "Charlie's War", about how a Texas congressman with the guidance of a Texas cattle baron heiress billionaire, had got our government to supply the Taliban with some military hardware, handheld rocket launchers for heat-seeking ordnance, so they could shoot down Russian helicopters and such.
funny thing, it seems the more things change the more they actually stay the same. Now we're "friends" with the drug cartels and the Russians and Iranians are friends with the religious zealots. The occupier foreign fools want to earn the buck from the produce, that's how it all figures. The religious zealots/prudes with all the notions of conscience are always the ones who have to look for help elsewhere.
So here's where I part company with Trump. He's already made his bed with the wrong people and thrown the conservatives out. Now he's the chump who, like Bush, is gonna escalate our useless foreign war programs. I just won't hop in the TrumpDumpster bin with Red or Bullet, because essentially that's who Trump has siddled up with, a sort of human analogue of the male spider that black widows eat alive.
I for a while wanted to give Obama credit for diverting our war machine, but have realized that he was just building up our enemies to make dead certain the American golden goose of actual human dignity and meaningful rights and opportunities were appropriately sold out to the folks who really would fundamentally transform America.
I have elsewhere characterized Putin as "rational", meaning he appropriately assesses his country's interests and acts to promote them. As the Chinese are also rational in their long-range objectives which they seek with Confucian inscrutability. I am just sad today we have no national media with any sense of national interest, and no government with the capacity to serve us either. We have been sold down the money river.
