A coaching change is the fastest and easiest way to inject change....

I keep thinking about the end of last season. All the reporters were asking Favors if he was ready for what everybody was sure to be a greatly increased role. Are you ready to be the face of the franchise? I know he has struggled at spots, but that's not what haunts me. It's pretty hard to deny that this season has been harder on him than anybody (Burks and Kanter a close 2nd and 3rd). He might have made the All-Star team if he had played for Denver... and here he plays 22:00 in a system that isn't helping him. He's a soft-spoken guy, but I wish he'd speak up a little about it. We are reaching that point that it might be in his best interest to force his way out; he's being labeled a bust, and he's far from that. Far.

Well, it was clear from last season that all they do (front office) is a waste of time. At least for me. So, this whole situation is not something new.

All I see is bunch of unprofessionals who always say "no comment", who struggle to see between the lines what's going on. In other words they don't run this franchise properly.

C4 is the main reason why they can be competitive for years to come. I tell you - if Favors will leave, Kanter will leave too.

They've got 1 year to repair their ********, but you never know what can happen next season.. injuries and other stuff. There are always some sort of problems and they struggle to solve them in time.

The way they treated young guns so far, if Favors will want to go, I'll be on his side.

Listen. Favors and Kanter are going to get MAX contracts after their rookie contracts are over.

To go on with, the Jazz are the most conservative and most scared franchise in NBA history.

They always give guys a second, third, fourth, hell, limitless chances. They rather keep what they have than make changes.

Corbin will be back next year. He seems very confident in interviews. It's just a matter of time when Favors and Kanter will demand a trade.

No way Carroll re-signs with the Jazz. They have treated him like crap, too. Burks might also soon demand a trade if changes won't happen.

No one of the young core is nearly happy, maybe with the excpetion of Hayward

Why the hell is Kanter only getting around 15 mpg and Favers 20? It's beyond me! Enough is enough!

Aww How cute. This thread just stands as proof that you guys actually care about the Jazz winning and making the playoffs this season.

I think it was a waste. The season could have been salvaged at the trade deadline but it is what it is. Here's to hoping we don't see Al Jefferson or Tyrone Coribn on this team next year.

Are we still going on about development time when it's been proven time and again that extra playing time is not going to push these guys along faster?

I thought the Jazz should try to win as many games as possibly, I thought the Jazz should force their young players to earn minutes, and I thought Jazz fans should give Ty time to put his fingerprints on his team. I thought all of that - LAST YEAR!

Last year was the season to figure out what you have, how/if the pieces fit, what the young guys can do in the league - all while trying to keep a competitive environment. Much to my chagrin/bewilderment, the Jazz have decided to do the same exact thing again this year - even though it's painfully obvious the veterans in leading roles are mediocre at best, that the young players not only have ability but give the Jazz a better chance to be competitive than the vets, and that utilizing Al Jefferson as if he were some hall-of-fame bigman will never allow you to be even a top-12 team. February 22, 2011 is when I lost faith that with Al Jefferson and Ty Corbin in leading roles - the Jazz weren't simply a "young team" destined to "get better" but at-best they were an average team destined for mediocrity on their current path.
Even the playoffs when Al waved the white flag in the middle of the series wasn't enough for the Jazz to keep the band together and come back and try it all again. It's insanity, and that will only be magnified if the Jazz do next year what they should've done this year.

What? That's just stupid. I'd like to hear this theory. Even IF that were the case, which it's not so I won't even go there. It's pretty obvious that playing more minutes equals faster development. I'm literally scratching my head here with this one. Please, explain yourself.

Plus, I guarantee you more fans show up at the arena if Kanter, Burks, etc. see a lot of playing time... this is a business afterall. The youngsters are the only reason I'm still somewhat interested in watching the games.

Shouldn't you be busy handing out neg reps to anyone with a different opinion. Hop to it.

Congrats on keeping your title of worst poster on jazzfanz for another year! You are the best at sucking!

The player development (not the vets) has been great. I've said this before, but every young guy, including J Evans and Carroll have improved mightily.
In that sense, this has been a good season.

The theory is each specimen in your signature. Case closed. Class dismissed.
