Keep Watson out until Tinsley stops playing well, by that time Watson should be completely healthy and ready to be good again. If Tinsley plays well for the rest of the year then its tough Sh#$ for Watson.

Watson is shooting 35% from the floor, and 19% from 3. Tinsley is shooting 43% from both the floor and 3. I think it's safe to say his offense is more than just a step above Watson's. It is a whole floor above it.

If Watson and Tinsley had played the same amount of minutes, this may be a valid argument. But Watson has played four times as much as Tinsley. I'm not saying Watson is better, but this comparison is not nearly as cut and dry as you would make it.

Edit: Also, Watson's assist average is higher than Tinsley's.

I think the good news is, since Harris has been playing much better lately his trade value is higher and with both Watson and Tinsley playing stellar ball, we can keep both of them next season and look to trade Harris this offseason even if it is not for another pg.
Neither of these guys is starting quality. Harris is starting quality. He may or may not be the best fit for us but he is better than both Watson and Tinsley. If Harris is traded the starting PG position needs to be addressed. And these 2 players are not the answer.

ITA. I love both Watson and Tinsley as backups, but they aren't getting any younger. If those two were our PGs and one of them went down, we'd be in trouble. Burks can do some of that but he's doing great as a SG and I'd hate to risk messing with that.

If we trade Harris and don't get a PG, most likely we will draft one. Then we determine his spot on the roster. I don't see any problem starting Watson or Tinsley. Look what happen when we started Tinsley in that warriors game a month back.

Yes they are both on the older side, but they would be awesome tutors for our young PG.

Can I choose Watson on D and Tinsley on O? With a few offensive sets for Watson to throw some obligatory oops?

For the record I believe that we have had several play through injuries that have been unreported. Corbin mentioned once that with Millsap you never know. I see Earl as being from the same mold, and playing until he absolutely couldn't.

Not going to lie, the early-oop made me tear up tonight. Watson does throw a mean alley-oop pass.

Can't deny Earl has a unbelievable chemistry with Jeremy Evans, problem is Evans rarely sees the floor.

As it is I give Tinsley the edge but only slightly, they are pretty darn similar, steady vets.

Earl is just one of the best in the league at throwing that lob pass. And Evans is so damn athletic that he can go get it much easier than most guys in the league.

They're both older guys that bring a great deal of professionalism and leadership to this team. I like Tinsley's ability to score over Watson. But I like Watson's tenacity and fire over Tinsley's...with that said, I can't vote on one or the other...

To me, it's like asking which child I love more...I love them both the same and will differ to Coach Corbin to make the tough call as to who gets the minutes.

This^

I love both of these guys...it's amazing, in the space of a couple of weeks I've gone from being very unhappy with our PGs to thinking we've got a pretty good rotation. All three of these guys are playing very well. Can't say enough about how Harris has played this last week...that's the guy who was the All-star a couple of years ago. When Earl is healthy again, Ty can take his pick...and not go wrong.

Plus Earl the player may want to get more burn, but Earl the aspiring coach and consummate team-first guy will cheer Tinsley on and be ready to go when his number is called.

Which may be why I love the guy so much, he is such a professional.

This is a little disappointing. Jamaal kept his mouth shut continuously throughout the first 60% of the season, while Earl got minutes. This is a short, rushed season; you don't really know whats going to happen, as far as injuries go. Earl should stay pat for the rest of his contract, IMO.

I didn't expect Earl to whine and say "too bad it happened after the trade deadline". Pretty disappointed he has said such things...

I think people are blowing this way out of proportion. Watson has been a fantastic member of this team to date. Doing and saying all the right things. Who knows what he meant exactly. Maybe it is about retirement or who knows what else. I am willing to give Earl the benefit of a doubt. It is not like he got sent home, missed a game, had to have the GM intervine...

I don't see how saying "it's a bit disappointing" counts as blowing something out of proportion. I am also disappointed Watson decided bitching is warranted because Corbin decided to go with the hot hand for a game or two. I love Watson, but this is uncool.
