WCSF Game 4: James Harden Exposed -- Rockets at Jazz 5/6/2018 6:00 pm MST

Royce was fine... I had issue on that play too but we see the whole court from a birds eye view... he doesn’t know if one of the rockets is trailing the play... that pass can easily be a turnover unless you know there isn’t anyone playing catch-up.
Ingles was open and in his field of view for quite some time. It was an easy pass.

Royce has a tendency to pass up open shots and swing to the corner, even when he has the better shot. This time, it was the opposite. He passed up the obvious play to go down the middle and brick a floater. I'm not unhappy with Royce, in general, though. He'll get better and I think he's a solid defender.

Exum getting his third foul was a killer, though. He was playing fantastic and we really needed him.

I’m not sure why people are bagging on Royce... he wasn’t great at times tonight but was still a positive... they kept swinging the ball to him when late in the clock... at that point he just has to go.

I’ve seen guys get alligator arms and start to get hesitant when they get hit really hard... doesn’t have to be cheap or have intent to injure but definitely make them feel you.

That's what I'm talking about. When we drive there is always opposition and most times contact. There are many players who would shy away from any contact and I'd like to see if Sissy Chrissy is one of them.

So get rid of O'neal and Neto? Who is coming in to replace them? Jazz aren't signing Paul George, or LeBron. They aren't even signing the next level of guys. They sign sign guys like Jerebko, and Thabo, and Oneal and Neto.

Get rid of either of them and the Jazz will replace him with another overlooked and flawed player.

I don’t think we want to get rid of them, it’s just tough when they’re the guys we’re relying on to make the difference.

Turnover machine, ****ed heaps of easy looks, cant make a pass, dumb fouls. Bum.

Neto did look bad until he made that three. But I guess I'm willing to give him some slack, considering he rarely gets minutes. It really is hard to come in cold once out of every three or four games and play your best.

I'm a little surprised Burks wasn't used more.

It's a real bummer that we are missing Rubio and now Exum.

Rubio is our 3rd best player and one of our leaders. Missing him is huge. Just as big of deal is that it forced our best player to switch positions to one he is not as good at right now.

If we had a fully healthy Rubio I think it makes a big difference in this series.

If they were missing their 3rd best player how would this series look? No capella and I think this series is at least tied up.

The gap between us and the best team isn't as big as it seems. We can add talent and should but I think just being healthy makes this close.

Perspective. Royce is a rookie playing against one of the NBA's best defenses and guarding some of the leagues best offensive players.
I thought O'Neale was pretty good. Neto on the other hand is absolute flaming garbage. Cannot be playing minutes in the playoffs.

Are you saying he shouldn't have played tonight or are you suggesting he should be upgraded this offseason? Cause there weren't a lot of options tonight with Rubio out and Exum going down.

I don't think he should have played. I would have rather seen Burks. Also he got playing time before Exum left hurt.

I know that with this setup and especially with Exum getting injured he has to play, but he is an unmitigated disaster on basically every possession on both offense and defense.
