This isn’t a positivity thread. This isn’t about there being evidence that we should win, because there isn’t. This isn’t because we have a winning mentality, because we don’t. It’s not because I think there are reasons to be optimistic, because there aren’t. Just a feeling. And I feel we’ll win despite all those things, and not actively because of us. That’s a big blow out last night that changes emotion for Dallas. They may feel fairly comfortable and in the driver’s seat and, even if losing game 6, feel comfortable in what they’ve shown thus far to close things out. I think they could drop game 6 pretty easily, and before game 7 realize they’re in an elimination game and go toe-to-toe with the best team in the league for who can collapse the most. We just may be the biggest beneficiary and, as the winds blow from the karma gods, we just may see ourselves left standing.

I wouldn't be shocked. The Mavs haven't made it out of the first round since they won the championship in 2011...last year they went up 2-0 on the Clippers, then went up 3-2 and still lost the series. Having said that, the fact remains this Jazz team is broken. I think the most likely scenario is that we come out and play well in game 6, get the win and get everyone's hopes up and then have a complete meltdown in game 7.

It may end up being a show-down in game 7 as to who can melt down more, but we pull it out because we’ve got more experience in that situation and Dallas’ nerves are compounded with the idea of melting down against the least clutch team in NBA history.

If it wasn't you and if you weren't the one who was confident in our huge turnaround Donovan's rookie year... I'd laugh in your face.

This **** is so over... it will be a 15 point loss... we will have some magic from JC and cut a big lead down to like 5 with 7 minutes left and then collapse. I don't think Donovan plays... if he does he does the hurt hero routine where he limps around and grimaces every time something bad happens. Even if we made it out of Game 6 Luka can win a Game 7 by himself. He was brilliant in their game 7 loss last year to a really good Clips team. We are not really good.

1, 2, 3 .... Cancun!!!

Main issue is that any close game comes down to Luka vs Mitchell now and that is going to lean in the Mavs favor 90% of the time.

Think the Jazz could really outplay the Mavs in Game 6 if Donovan sits too. Throw the Mavs a curve ball with better team play and defense.

Honestly think Don is faking so he can do the hurt hero routine

I don't think anyone can out-meltdown us. Last year in game 7 against the Clippers Luka had 46 and 14 on 57% shooting...if he puts up a performance like that against us, we're toast. Another big difference for the Mavs this year vs. last year when they melted down is Brunson, last year Carlisle gave up on Brunson in the playoffs and was actually playing Trey Burke over him, he only played 10 minutes in game 7.

There’s no bloody chance in hell or heaven the jazz win on Thursday let alone the series. It’s not happening

Basically it's a bruised thigh and those can hurt like crazy. The key will be to get it too loosen up so he can do things basketball players normally do.

I hope he plays. We need him. This hasn't been a great series for him, but he has been giving everything he has the last two games. The shots will fall next time out.

Mitchell banged up , we need a curveball .something they havent seen , bogey just wore himself out for shooting by picking doncic up full court on d,game 6 had to be an ugly denfensive game to our liking with the crowd bringing audible mojo the entire time

I admire your optimism and it's definitely not over, just hard to see if this team can have that killer instinct.

The only thing holding this team back is themselves. Last night was 100% winnable - if we even shot 30% which is lower than our yearly average from deep, we would have won.

We just need to mentally sack up.

Looking at how negative Royce has been this series... I think you need to swap him out for Juan or House and really limit his time out there. Both guys seem more decisive and better on offense and I think Juan both could switch on to Luka allowing Bojan to rest a bit.

Knowing Quin we will do nothing different.

I super love Juancho and House, but neither have been good offensively this series. Royce is actually getting up more shots per minute and shooting a higher percentage than house (he's actually 3rd highest 3pt attempts on the team on the 2nd highest 3pt percentage). But I don't know, just a change and their energy could spark something.

As much as I love Conley, I think he's the one that needs reduced minutes. You aren't going to be able to impact a lot with the usage that Royce is getting, but might be able to impact a lot more with replacing Conley's usage.
