We all know the truth (Al jeffersucks sucks sucks suckS!!!) Hate thread

You know what I like most about Al Jefferson? His incredible passing.

Look at how wide open Hayward gets for an easy shot. This wasn't the first time in the quarter that Jefferson refused to make the easy pass to the wide open shooter. He missed Foye on the exact same play a few minutes earlier and only passed after doing his stupid ballerina spin inside a double team and almost falling out of bounds.

Hey Tyrone, what's your excuse for Jefferson taking low percentage post shots when a guy like Randy Foye is wide open for a 45+% 3 point shot? Maybe you haven't noticed but Foye is shooting 41.5% from three this season. Uncontested, not hustled shots like this are much higher %. But who really wants a TS% of 75-80 when you have No Free Throw Al Jefferson to put up .521 while giving up 100% on the other end of the floor right?

i always wnonder why those it guys want a big play utton in the middle.
it is not half as bad as a big mute icon in teh middle when you mute sound
i really wanna drop kick them when there is a big mute icon in the middle.
cus sometimes i wanna watch videos on mute

@dutch

Al's lack of defense well OK incredible lack of defense is no secret anymore, but he wouldn't be the first player to be called "very good" without playing good defense. Defense is hard work. Body thrashing. Garbage work most of the time. So many players for the previous years who had good offense generally played much less defense than they actually could. Avoiding fouls and injuries were their main aims.

We all know that Al sucks at D and that the other 4 players are at fault for standing around when Al has the ball on O.

I'm an Atlanta fan on a fact finding mission. Apparently some of our fans are ready to sign Jefferson to a big 13-15 a year type contract. Other than getting torched by Horford (who's actually on a prolific tear these days) recently. Question is: does he fit with a Horford and Josh Smith front court and is his offense simply neutralized by the rest of his game.

I'm on the fence while his post scoring is good to the naked eye, his defense and intangibles are not where they should be for a core player. Appreciate your time.

al is a really good player.
he is our leading scorer.
has nice footwork
and can get a shot of over double and tripple teams.
everyyear he has been here he is improved.
his only weaknes is the pick and roll defense.
he has no other weaknesses.
his per is also pretty good

negated is an understatement. negated would mean they cancel eachother out. he gives alot more then he takes, not sure that makes sense. he is a liability. and the worst part is you cant hide a big man on D like you can a guard. the big man is suppose to save the guard, it cant be the other way around. not even favors can save als poor D-fenceive play.

You got it, therein lies his biggest problem: the center is the key to the defense.

and he is a really really nice guy.
also he is soft :)

But his PnR defense negates all his positives.

Why do people call Jeffersoninlaw a 20/10 player when he hasn't averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds, let alone either single statistic in over 5 years?

Jefferson can't even average 20 points per game anymore. That's bad when you're as post proficient as he is.

is al jefferson not worth his pay grade? in a sense of his stats? how about vs market-value of centers in his pay grade?Deandre Jordan, Javale McGee, Roy Hibbert)
