Tony, to be a Jazz fan is to be disappointed. The trick is to hold onto hope right up until the very last moment possible, then change the story you tell yourself in order to find a glimmer of hope again.

0.7% is not much to hold on to, but it is better odds than Vegas gave the Jazz to win the championship this season, and We don't have to give up hoping until about 6:10 tomorrow.

Amazing. Played The Machine for the first time this year.

Should have quit while I was ahead. The second time we took Denzel Valentine at #12 while I'm watching '2 Guns' on TV. Not sure what that means...
That would be epic. Jazz get #1 and Minny gets #2.

The rest of the league would be pissed.

Whatever else happens tonight, if the Jazz win or lose, the Timber Pups cannot get a top 2 pick. Same goes for New Orleans and Denver.

We want the top Two picks to go the Jazz and go to the East.

Great quote from Jazz President Steve Starks:

"The Utah Jazz have a .7% chance of #1 pick and a 2.5% chance of getting into the top 3.

While this seems discouraging remember two things: 1) our goal is to be a consistent playoff team and not as a participant in the draft lottery 2) we want to be a development oriented organization where our players, wherever they were picked, grow and contribute in significant ways.

Rudy and Rodney are great examples of players picked in the 20's that continue to develop into high level starters with room to grow.

Having said that, we will gladly apply that development philosophy to a top 3 pick so let's hope for a lucky ping-pong bounce tonight in the Big Apple!"

What about Boston getting a top 2 pick? You're OK with that?

Who we choosing with the 12th pick? I feel like our biggest needs are Center depth and SF depth. But that's just like my opinion, man. I kinda like DeAndre' Bembry out of St. Joe's, and I would be pretty pleased if we got Sabonis or Poeltl.

I think we're very fine with center (Gobert, Favors, Withey, Pleiss is fine).
PF will be weak unless Lyles steps it up (which I think he will).
SF might be the weakest if Burks can't give us good minutes at the 2 (if he can, Hood covering for Hayward will be dope). Even with Burks, we need one good shooting SF who can defend well.

Our biggest need is PG, but i think the team strategy will be to wait and develop Dante. If they're not hopeful, that's gotta be the biggest team need of the offseason.

I think if you can address PG play and get one 3/D person either through the draft or via free agency, that's some pretty good patching. We can also trade Burks if we want another scoring wing. We're in good shape i think

It's an uncomfortable acceptance to be sure, but I figured it would have the least amount of impact on the Jazz making the playoffs.

Add another top prospect to Minny, NO, or Denver and the Jazz might get squeezed out of the playoffs year after year. Phoenix and Sacramento might be counted similar.

I worry less about LaLakers because they are so far away right now.

Of course the best solution is for the Jazz to win a top 2 pick.

I like Bembry too but he's a big reach at 12.

Ugh! I am going to be watching my daughter's dance recital during the lottery.

I think I'm gonna bail during the lottery. I just bought a new couch so the sleep won't be that bad.

Lol

I think our biggest needs right now are PG and wings. Taking either Sabonis or Poetl would leave me pretty ticked. I mean, Sabonis isn't even a good defender. Dude is like David Lee or Carlos Boozer out there.

If Luwawooooo isn't there at #12, I probably trade down and pick up a guy like McCaw or Bembry.
