What's new

We Built it!

I never doubted otherwise. Ever. I have just lived in areas (inner city Memphis, Honduras) where the shoe is very much on the other foot.

Edit: The DNC is more inclusive based on race. No contest. however that inclusiveness shatters at the first sign of not accepting their ideas. The RNC has made strides in being more racially diverse but clearly has more work to do. The rising crop of diverse GOP stars gives me hope.

We need to see a bigger shift percentage wise for me to have more hope. I feel like the few minorities are pushed to the top to sort of say "look here, see, we are inclusive".

So what I take from all of this is that Republicans are racist if they don't include people of color, but when they do include people of color, it merely highlights their broader racism. Did I get that correct?

It's not the actions that cause the state, it's the state of thinking that leads to the actions.

All Republicans should aspire to the Democrat model whereby we pretend to be tolerant and inclusive until you disagree with us, challenge us, refuse to be a victim, or otherwise think differently than the majority of your racial group. You are than branded as "less than authentic", "brainwashed", or other various types of descriptions for "siding with the enemy". Welcome to the inner city public schools and housing projects. The modern day liberal plantation. Of course the exception to this rule is Obama. Since he is a Democrat, he is cool like Wesley Snipes. If he were a Republican he would be Carlton Banks.

Same for chicks. Only in the liberal world is Monica Lewinsky a real woman, free to choose to suck the Willie's willie and Ann Romney is the Mormon robot wife.

Was this supposed to be sarcasm? I don't recall you being that bitter and shallow.

Hooray, another whole thread full of racial demagoguery and male chauvinism!

You liberals are such a joy to have around.

There's an interesting thing about perspective. A circle six feet in diameter looks much bigger around you than around the guy halfway down the block, and vice-versa.

Each party has positions it considers fundamental, and core principles it considers inviolable. Each reacts badly to members stepping over that line.

I agree that a bigger percentage is needed. However how big are we talking? GOP carried a 1/3 of hispanic and asian voters in 2008. The black vote obviously was heavily skewed to the Dems.

The reason I have hope is that these rising stars will becoem the GOP leaders down the line and truly make the GOP more inclusive.

Edit: Obviosuly work to due but reason to hope as well in my opinion.

Regardless of perspective it is still a 6' diameter circle.

My post appears as if I am indicating that is a Dem only problem. It most assuredly is not. However Dems pride themselves on being inclusive, as they should. However it is hypocritial to denounce anyone that disagrees with you based on racism, sexism or a multitude of other reasons and call yourselves tolerant and inclusive. They would be better served, in my opinion, if they did not engage in politics as normal.

So, you and Stoked are saying this guy should not have lost his job? That being tolerant means accepting news chiefs when they make jokes like this?

I never clicked on the link so I am not standing one way or another for it till I know what it is about. Originally Scat said that the horse was dead....as in beating a dead horse...
