We don't want amnesty!

What makes you think that fat *** 'Muricans are all of a sudden going to start eating veggies?

Alright dudes/dudettes.

Saturday, driving through the Hollywood/movie corner of greater LA, I saw a lady with a long skirt, and three little girls in tow, all with long skirts. Then I saw a bunch of other folks, all walking. Then I saw their church. Some kind of Jewish church I'd guess. I drove on up the street about a mile and came to a big white cathedral with a red ribbon and a rainbow flag, and a sign that said "all are welcome". I'd guess the reason those conservative folks walking in the heat to avoid breaking the Sabbath would have to change some opinions to be "welcome" under the Disney flag, really.

"Toleration" is misconstrued in today's social justice rhetoric. "Toleration" isn't even the issue. The issue is liberty. . . . some call it " freedom". If you have to accept other people, at the point of a sword, and profess to "believe" in what they demand, you're no longer "free" to have your own idea, at least on the public square.

If you can't create a border, and define your interests, you are no longer a "nation". And of course, that is exactly what international corporate interests want. They want the power, through UN governance under their specific control, through their media news/opinion retailers we call "mainstream", through their "elected" legislators, governors, even Presidents, and a littany of other public players on their public stage, to manage things. The idea of globalism has as it's ultimate objective the streamlining of governance from the top down, and the perfection of human management from the top down.

To achieve that result, they need "social justice" rhetoric that eliminates every individual opinion option. So little people with straying opinions can be booed off the town square, so public opinion can be massaged into whatever form "management" prefers, and steered in whatever new direction may seem useful in the future.

So by the time we can't say "illegal" anything is wrong, we mean to say laws themselves should not matter. Which is to say, we believe in absolute government power and no human rights at all. The laws are all for us po' folk, not for government officials. We should give them absolute discretionary powers, which is to say absolute arbitrary power.

If we won't "arrest" or "impeach" a President who every day makes arbitrary decisions on which "laws" should be enforced, it is an absolute end of representative republic principles, and absolute end of Constitutional "rule of law". What Nixon did is a drop in the bucket to all Obama is doing, and our so-call "Press" is in the sack for it all.

Pearl is perhaps only person, so far in this thread, who actually still has a functioning sort of self-awareness/functioning cognition, to even see the problem with "illegal" immigrants. It's not skin color, or even culture. It's actually "human rights".

Mexicans never had very much of those "human rights". Any time in the past six hundred years they've had a government that could just round them up and shoot them whenever they got in anyone's way. . . . let's say in any "significant person's" way. And if we sit idle and do nothing to turn this situation around, it's likely that for rthe next six hundred years we will all live under absolutely corrupt and arbitrary power in the hands of a government that can't be held to account for any of it's actions.

You'd be wrong. Or rather, your drawing of conclusions is just a leap in logic. You've painted the Mom and her kids in tow as Orthodox Jews from the description you've given them and while the Orthodox area is more south and to the west from that spot you saw them, it's not unusual to see them walking around. That said, Jews don't go to church, they go to synagogue and that cathedral you reference is a church. A Methodist one that has a history of being open to most everyone:

In respect to the public square of opinion, you'd be right. Times change. We both know that. I mean, there used to be a time in this country where black folks were called every conceivable insult not only by the citizens of the of their "community" but also by the powers that be. But, like with everything else in life, times change.

It's an interesting position regarding the containment of the border but I'd say the military enforcement of the border, if need be, is what gives a country it's status as a nation and not whether the border is porous. The idea of globalism is exactly the way Mr. Perot explained it. Both parties got over on the American folks with the almighty dollar in mind.

You've lost me on the hyperbole regarding impeaching Obama as if he's done anything different than the predecessors before him. If he has, I'd love a point in the right direction.

I truly wish those up in arms over the idea of illegal immigration or the republican pablum of gods, guns and gays or the liberals and their fights for the environment or other perceived causes would come together and fight the true fight. The unabashed recidivism of our financial institutions in this country.

This is in fact the exact problem, the engine that has driven our politics for over a century. . . .

Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln were pawns of the bankers. . . . well, except Lincoln at least didn't do what he was told exactly.

I like Vinny's comment above, it deserves rep and respect. This is the kind of comment that I fish for every day. Someone with a different point of view, some facts, and a perspective that restores my faith in humanity.

Michelle O. is going to buy them for all the kids in public schools, whether the kids are gonna eat them or not.

Remember, pizza is a vegetable.

Hippos headed to the border:

https://nypost.com/2014/06/24/us-elastic-border-stretching-with-overweight-migrants/

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has put out a bid for 42,000 pairs of white 100-percent-cotton men’s briefs — and are in desperate need of super-sizes like 4,800 size “2X-Large,” 4,800 “3X-Large” and “4X-Large,” and 3,600 “5X-Large.”

The nation’s elastic border is stretching even further. The ICE officials say they also need 2,400 pairs of “6X-Large” underwear — a garment that retailers say can fit someone weighing as much as 500 pounds.

Poor little Mexican children. We've got to be nice to them.

So my British water intelligence source says the United States and Mexico have agreed to build a joint desal project to serve the massing immigrants on the border.

Lots of millions of people there and not enough drinking water. Fact is, Mexico's economy is improving, birthrate is dropping to nothing, and in a couple of decades Mexico will be like the US. . .. . experiencing a dearth of low-wage workers, and will be importing their own slave labor. Americans.

I never understood the flak that Mrs. Obama received with her school lunch program. A program that was and is funded by the government.

It's obvious that as Americans we have a problem with obesity. I mean, take a picture of most of the posters here on this board and no doubt you'd see that the majority of them are of the rotund variety. It's obvious we have a problem with eating healthy and exercising. Diabetes, heart disease, cancer are all issues we as a population share. There are so many ****ing fat people who eat like **** everyday and would roll over and die if you asked them to run a mile. These same people become dependent on drugs to help them be more "healthy" be regulating their levels. Instead of eating better and exercising, Americans go for the quick fix while at the same time a lot of their discretionary spending goes to health related costs. This quick fix mentality carries over to the financial aspects of their life and their financial discipline is hurt as a result. Most Americans are financially illiterate and it shows with many of the decisions many of us make.

Anyway, back to Mrs. O and her idea to make school lunches healthier. So many articles came out at the time that reported on kids "boycotting" the meals and kids hating the vegetables. No doubt that maybe the preparation of these types of foods in large quantities left something to be desired but since when are kids the ones who decide what they should eat? If it were up to kids, they'd be eating pizza or hamburgers for every meal of the day while washing it back with a 20oz of Coke.

I supported Mrs. O in her quest to bring more healthy options to our kids. I still support her. I also support Americans heating healthier, exercising more and becoming more financially literate.

In respect to feeling and looking better, I know I've posted this article before, but it's definitely a must read:
