"We generally don't do too much"

I guess people will believe what that want to believe, no matter how delusional this may be. I mean trade was finalized yesterday and Dallas was the favorite to land Al until very end. How can anyone suggest DWill "knew" about it, when it was one move by Dallas away from not happening (Dallas insisted on Wolves taking Carrol's deal)? Not even KOC could have known he would get it done. And if he didn't, there are no good options out there. When KOC beat Dallas for Al, Dallas got Chandler. Yes, Chandler was the next best big guy available. So, don't come here and tell me that Deron "knew" about the trade last week, when Jazz finally pulled ahead of Dallas to land Jefferson on Monday night and finished the deal this week.

Your sarcasm detector sucks.

Your sarcasm detector sucks.

You sure were convincing that you thought Deron knew/expected something like this coming. Here is something interesting I found though in deseret news: "Discussions heated up Monday, though, after the Timberwolves recently acquired Miami power forward Michael Beasley and their weekend trade talks with Dallas about Jefferson fell apart." My first thought was, why did we wait for Monday to heat up the discussions. I mean Dallas discussions fell through, because we entered the talks with better offer. Could VJ be right, and Deron's expression of frustration and jokes than nothing much was happening with us actually did light a fire under KOC's ***? Not that I care now, as to me all that matters is the result, and KOC did deliver, but VJ might have a point here.

dwill is spot on..This is the first big move the jazz have made since getting dwill...

This is true... and it took KOC long enough to do it. Seems like the Wes Matthews offer lit a fire under someones cheeks too... since Utah wasn't in the running, or showing interest in ANYONE prior to a couple of days ago. I give KOC credit for getting the Big Al deal done... but come on, the 'KOC is a genius' statements are a bit over the top.

They are far from finished... we need a solid shooting guard, and Brewer isn't going to cut it. Expecting Hayward to step in and immediately fill Korver's shoes is asking an awful lot from a rookie. He may show some promise and give some decent minutes, but I have a feeling he's going to get beat up a bit, at least for the first year.... maybe two.

ps. The Jazz generally DON'T do much, so what was the point of this thread? Suggesting DWill eat words that are TRUE?
