With 62 games left and the 4-16 record, and without looking, I'll assume 31/31 home and road games, I would guess about 10-21 road and 21-10 home for a 35-47 record without out some tanking effort. That's not good (bad) enough for a top 3 pick.

It also puts everyone else a step back into positions where they are more comfortable. Hayward and Burks are not being the primary options as much anymore and can attack off of Burke drive-and-kicks. Burke's arrival is huge in that respect. Adding another solid option in this year's draft, either a #1 or #2, would push everyone else back even further and make the team even better.
 
Just the sort of game I hope for - the five top minutes played were Burke, Burks, Hayward, Kanter and Favors, we competed for 3 and 1/2 quarters, but ultimately lost. Also, JLIII was restricted to towel waving. Downside - we could have had more Gobert and less Beidrins.

21-10 is an insanely high home prediction, but the 10-21 road prediction is even crazier. Our 43 win near 8th seed playoff team last year won only 13 road games. We are not going to go .500 the rest of the way.
 
I think if we stand pat we are looking at 26-27 ws if we can lose a little depth soon I think we could make that 22-23

theres this one play i remember where after some screens david west got the ball around the elbow with kanter lagging slight behind in the paint because of the screens... and then kanter never moved. just stood at the top of the restricted area with his arm up. i swear i could hear david west thinking 'are you seriously gonna give me this jump shot?' for like 2 seconds before draining it.

Yes his shot wasn't working tonight, but for the most part he took good wide open shots within the offense.

It's no coincidence he's doing good since Burke got back. Now he can play mostly sg instead of just playing pg. I've said it since his rookie year he shouldn't play pg.

Everyone showed well in the exact manner of who they are and will be. for example, Favors showed a shooting touch on some stop 'n pop jumpers - dispelling anxiety over something that many have wondered about, which is his touch. Kanter showed some shooting skills that will only get better. Some of his blunders go away by end of the season. No worries about those blunders from me. Trey was asked by Corbin (according to Phil J.) to come out passing - he showed he's got the skills. I heard on pre-game comment from Booner, that "Burke wouldn't be that much of an assist man." I agreed with comment. And only 3hours later I'm disagreeing. Burks continues to play as we'd hoped/expected/desired. Favors and Kanter performed well against a 7'2" DOPY... not bad. Between that game and Houston, there is a lot to optimistic about. (with the exception that the tanking championship is in jeopardy)

Burke could've had around 13-14 assists last night. He does play a lot like Cp3 in that he's good at getting into the paint and either drawing a big freeing up Favors for a dunk or getting Kanter or a wing a wide open shot with the kickout, which are things that cp3 does really well.

Actually he had a nice game other then his shot being off. I remember him being 2-8 in the first half, but thinking how good he was looking and a big reason the jazz had a lead, all though he didn't affect the second half like he did the first half.
 
Refs let Kanter and Favors off the hook for at least three obvious fouls each. This game wouldn't have been close had the refs not been trying to undermine the tank.

Actually, yes. I mean, if we're gonna give them one weakness, thats the one to give. Last night's game was a perfect illustration of our porous perimeter D.

Kawhi Leonard would change our team forever. If we can't get jabari or Wiggins, then I hope we get an elite 3&D SF.
 
Burke had 13 pts on 5-12 shooting, 9 ast, 2 rebs & 1 TO in 39 minutes.
Burks had 11 pts on 4-11 shooting, 5 rebs, 3 ast & 2 TOs in 27 minutes.
Hayward had 12 pts on 3-14 shooting, 6 ast, 4 rebs, 2 steals & 3 TOs in 38 minutes.
Kanter had 20 points on 8-18 shooting, 10 rebs, 1 blk & 2 TOs in 40 minutes.
Favors had 22 pts on 8-18 shooting, 13 rebs, 1 steal & 0 TOs in 37 minutes.

Pacers beat Utah in rebs, ast, steals, blocks, FG%, FT%, TOs and had less fouls. But Burke changes the whole personality of this team. He seems like a real leader and I saw some good effort and fight from the core. I am thrilled with last night.

he got stuck at nine because corbin decided in the 4th qtr that burke was young and inexperienced.
so it was time to let the offense flow through haywrad even if hayward sucked for the night
 
and what about those automatic 12 points on wide-open jumpers by Scola? One could say those were the difference in the game. One could also say that they were caused by Scola's teammates getting into the lane.

Just kidding. Enes Kanter is so damn slow footed and has an even slower reaction time that it's almost impossible to defend the pick and pop with him on the court.

I was encouraged with the effort last night. What it showed is Indy has learned how to close games out. Jazz will eventually learn that. I also realized how weak our bench is too. Jazz need a couple of scorers off the bench to keep from losing the lead when the starters come out. Burke makes a huge difference.

Yes our bench is weak but that is by design. Next year will be a different story.
