What's new

Welcome back, Devin Harris

I was in favor of him staying even when they got Mo Williams. I liked the idea of their being a PG competition and each has an injury history, so there would have bee a quality back-up. Instead the Jazz added Marvin Williams and his additional year of salary. If the Jazz had a PG battle last year, Utah would probably be in the playoffs and they could have signed the one who did better to a new contract for this upcoming season.

No ****ing way Harris is going to play back-up PG for a non-playoff team. He might take a gig like back up/combo guard behind a Chris Paul or Tony Parker but there is no way in the world he'll come back to Utah to back up "PG-to be determined".

I've read that he's looking to go to Milwaukee after Jennings' inevitable departure.

And I remember Corbin and Harris not being on the best of terms.

One problem with this potential idea.
The Jazz never signed Tyrone Corbin to a contract with the understanding of not playing veterens over young guys.
So goodbye Burks and young point guard prospect.
Unfortunately, I agree with you and crater. If the Jazz draft a PG at #14 (or trade up), he'd languish on the bench behind Harris. In a perfect (Ty-less) world, Devin might ne a very good guy to have. As franklin mentioned, he'd likely come at a decent price and be willing to slide into the backup role. But Corbin is the coach. Devin would get 35 mins, and whatever other veteran we had at PG or SG would get the remaining time, with the rookie getting DNP-(Stupid)CD's
