His ability to get into the lane, search dribble, make the right play, be poised, shoot the 3, run the pick and roll, fight on defense, not turn the ball over (i could go on) seem indicative of a bright future. He's crafty and cool. He might be derailing the tank a bit though, which is a bummer. I have huge mixed feelings right now... I really like Marvin Williams but maybe we need to trade him... Tank commander JL3 has been discharged... and the tank cannot go on without its commander.

Anyway, I am impressed with Trey Burke and am interested to hear how good you think he can be. So far, he is showing more promise than Deron Williams did afer Deron's first 5 games (or atleast as much promise.

check it out dudes. they talk about Trey Burke at the very end of the video. Say he will challenge MCW for ROY.

I am impressed with Burke's ability to drive against anyone. He had Howard on him last night and took it to the rim and thew up a shot over the top of him that made me leap off my soily couch. Beverly is supposed to be known as a top defensive point guard, and Trey glided past him countless times.

He is playing better than Deron played at this point in his career and and I think they ought to put the ball in his hands even more. Hayward looked like a new player without having to handle the ball as much and even Burks woke up and realized he could spot up instead of create every time. It's amazing how much I've missed watching a good point guard. We haven't had one since we traded Dwill away. I think I'm developing a man crush.

Agreed... I think I am going to buy a Trey Burke Jersey...

The competition

Before we start putting him on all-star teams or top 10 lists, please look at the competion, these 13 for example:

Chris Paul
Russel Westbrook
Stephen Curry
Kyrie Irving
Damian Lillard
Tony Parker
John Wall
Ricky Rubio
Jeff Teague
Jrue Holiday
Deron Williams
Rajon Rondo
Derrick Rose

Currently, he has a good chance of being at the level of the bottom 6 (of your list) by the end of the year (with the exception of Rondo). Certainly better than Rose who is injured.

surprised you left off Ty Lawson btw. He is playing great right now. He's really tearing it up. His PER has been great and he has the Nugs on a 6 or 7 game win streak. He's averaging like 20 and 8 for the season. How did you forget him, my man.

Trey Burke's ability to not turn over the ball will really set him apart from other players. Ive got high hopes.

Trey Burke is the anti-Hayward...doesn't turn the ball over and he doesn't disappear in the fourth quarter.

Unbelievable how many damn good PGs there are in this league.

Burke is playing really smooth, and in control for a rookie. Let's hope it continues.

Basically since he's been back the Jazz have been a lot more watchable overall.

Which in a way makes me want the tank even more. Burke and Wiggins/Parker is elite folks. With Hayward, Favors, and (hopefully) Kanter/Burks as your supporting role. Still a lot of what ifs, but it makes me salivate.

"Bottom line is I want to go somewhere where guys are willing to win. It's not all about the pay checks, somewhere where the franchise is going in the right direction" - Trey Burke, Leader

How much you paying this guy jazz - Trey Burke's mom

Paraphrased.

watching the highlights, see is driving and scoring on guys like Howard and Caspi. They are both 6'9 plus in height. Impressive. and Howard's length. You can't help but get excited.

Good catch, no excuses, just screwed up!

love watching the alec burks highlight reel!!

It's too bad that Burks didn't manage to secure this performance with his first win of the season-- but they''ll have a chance to do so this coming Wednesday!
