i think suspensions should definitely work that way. it doesn't matter in this case, since west wasn't suspended... but let's say he is, how much good does it do the jazz that he gets suspended for the NEXT game? (in fact, it could hurt them since now we need them to beat houston tonight.) i think a suspension should be for the next game between the two teams in question. would bynum have clotheslined barea if he knew that the suspension wasn't just going to cost him the next few games, but that it would cost him the next few games AGAINST THE MAVERICKS?
