Western conference semi-finals: Game 1 — Jazz @ Rockets 4/29/18 1:30 pm MST

Not a bad second half really. Hopefully, getting a few days off will help them reset.

That turnaround time from Game 6 was ridiculous.

Y’all should be feeling great after this game.

I feel much better than I did before tipoff.

Ya, the Jazz didn't get blown out despite having an epically bad game. It will be a competitive series.

Not sure the refs know what a legal screen is. Pretty sure capella and even Gobert get away with most illegal ones.

I'm looking forward to Game 2 adjustments. Honestly, I would throw an absolute curveball. I would start Game 2 with the following lineup:

PG Mitchell (runs the show with Ingles, attacks rim)
SG Exum (there to defend and attack the rim)
SF Ingles (runs show with Ingles, spreads floor)
PF O'Neale (there to defend and spot up in the corner)
C Crowder (there to defend off the switch and spot up)

Capella isn't going to post up. He outplays Gobert many times head to head because he's long and athletic whereas Adams was strong and tenacious. So I would get Capella out the paint by starting Crowder. Allow Exum and Mitchell to penetrate and finish/pitch. After about 4 minutes, we could bring Gobert in for O'Neale and then Favors after that. We could sprinkle in this small lineup throughout the game especially when we know Capella will be in.

Come on guys, what's going on with our FTs.

Jazz free throws: 13-22 59%
Rockets 3pts: 17-32 53%

And it's not a bad day, it's usual business now.

Guys, f-ing calm down. Neto, Burks, Exum are all backups for a reason. Sure, Burks is overpaid but you win some (Mitchell) and you lose some (Burks). Expecting those guys to automatically replace a guy in Rubio who has years and years of starting experience is ridiculous. Especially on 1.5 days rest. Especially against the best team in the league. Especially since they are super guard heavy. And especially since the refs want to give them every call.

Neto is similar to Rubio. Exum and Burks are similar to Mitchell.

Neto is great defender for Harden/CP. He doesnt jump in the feint and he sticks to his brand. It's good in the perimeter.

Exum and Burks are explosive and agile.
