Playoff contenders in the most talent-less Eastern Conference in years - perhaps since the NBA/ABA merger.

Charlotte is probaby going to see a decent 10 game improvement this season compared to last; and Al has helped; but the franchise had no where to go but up and will still probably lose 50 games this year.
