What's new

What are WE (Jazzfanz) looking for in a new coach?

Rick Carlisle.

Cuban will probably never get rid of him, but after Popovich, I don't know if there's a better coach in the NBA.

Ellis 269; Thee jazz fan-- Sorry if i were not clear enough. Ya, wanted to give you a choice of candidates and explain why they were the right guy. Otherwise it would just go in the old merged searching for a coach thread that everyone was using to tout there favorite choice. But nobody was saying WHY their choice would be good. Trying to see if a consensus could be reached. I know who my choice is but wanted to tap into the clear minds and brilliant intellect of ya all's.

LazyD-- Good to see you again too-bch (had to consult my slang dictionary to see what you was calling me.

Didn't think i needed a real clear invitation to get names, thought that would just naturally flow.

Before the season started, I really liked Adelmen. Good offensive minded coach, who has also had good defensive teams in Sactown. He's someone the young players would respect and listen to.

I'm looking for a man who is confident, has a good sense of humor, knows how to have a good time, takes care of his body, & enjoys long walks on the beach.

I want a coach who has the outlook and qualities that Mr. Messina speaks of in that one interview.

Given the trend to hire former players with little to no experience coaching, might I suggest Jason Collins (if he retires) or John Amaechi?
