What can we get for CJ?

I cant believe people on here actually think Weaver is already a better player than CJ, it really blows my mind.

I think what some of us are saying is that Weaver may actually possess more upside than CJ at this point. I don't see anybody in this thread saying that Weaver is already flat-out better than CJ. Obviously, that's not the case.

This. CJ still has upside. It's hard to see it throughout the season, but looking at season to season, he's still growing. Other teams see this and value it at least a little.

But I still think a gutter ball from Ernie McCracken has a better chance of going into the basket than most of CJ's shots.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to franklin again.

It would be cool if the thread title here was "What can we get for a CJ," and then we'd hurry over to urbanencyclopedia to figure out what a CJ is.

Constant Jizzing (it's worth a lot to Cuban and the Russian).

I never heard of that one, i'd heard of a BJ, a HJ and a ZJ. What's a ZJ? If you have to ask you can't afford it.

I think people would be very surprised how much interest there is in CJ. A player with his talent in a contract year at 3.7 is a very good bet to make. But like every player on the Jazz, he's on the block in the right deal.

Absolutely. CJ isn't going to be traded by himself, or for a pick. Nothing like that. However, CJ + a pick + filler to make salary work(Okur, Raja?) is a fairly good scenario IMO. Maybe Utah can work a deal without the pick, but I certainly think another player will be involved. Also wouldn't count out Utah keeping him.(sorry)

I'll call it right now. If there's a draft day trade involving Jazz players, CJ will be involved.

Just keep starting miles instead of hayward so we can loose and get that draft spot. That is where miles could b valuable.

I like the idea of us keeping Kirelinko and CJ to come off the bench. Then we just need to worry about that shot blocking center and a good shooting guard.

I've got to wonder if this is the only reason that some people defend CJ's play: because we've got Raja to compare him to.

Not sure if you were suggesting this, but just to clarify, I wasn't trying to defend CJ's play. I was just highlighting the patheticness of our SG combo of CJ/Raja.

Nope, I wasn't, and yes I agree.

We poor fans have become so accustomed to garbage at that position that any glimmer of competence is mentally transformed into certain greatness.

Spot on. We haven't had a decent 2 since Quincy Lewis.

This is so that the opponents will have a really good chance of getting back in the game or extending the lead, to make it more competetive right?
