What Do You Think Donovan "A New Hope" Mitchell Is Going To Be?

It seems one of the things that made D Wade such a monster was not only the athleticism in his prime but also how much muscle he has on his frame. I'm not sure Mitchell will be able to mirror the same amount of bulk but he looks strong.

You can see in the photo below how much more physically developed he is compared to Malik Monk. Also looks a lot stronger than Chris Paul who is a grown man. And kid has some long arms. Damn.

But then if you look at the picture of D-Wade below, this is what I mean by lots of bulk on that frame. Could Mitchell get there and would it be good for his game?

Really really good pro with tons of upside. Tough, gritty, can score it and loves to compete. He'll be a fun one to watch. Still a rook though so he'll go on the roller coaster ride just like any other rook. Either way, I'm excited to see what he can be.

Also worth noting that Mitchell doesn't have the same measurements as Wade though I've heard people like Spence Checketts say their measurements are identical. Not so.

basically wade is two inches taller and has a standing reach 5 inches higher and 3/4 inch more of a wingspan. though Mitchell has better vertical by about 5 inches but he's a 2 foot jumper.

God damn mitchell looks ripped in that picture.

superstar baby!!!!

I believe

If he becomes a superstar, The Hayward departure isn't so bad but if he becomes a superstar and Exum became a top 30-40 player, kinda makes you think Mitchell, Hayward, Gobert, Exum would have had a shot against GS, especially when they lose Klay which I think they will. Good job, Gordouche Haywood, for ruining your title shot.

Gordon didn't want to be knocked down to 3rd best player. If Mitchell can develop into a combo guard, he'll be even more of a steal. Jazz keep either Rubio or Dante as the starting PG. Mitchell starts at the 2 and slides over to PG when the starter sits midway through the 1st/3rd. He comes out at the quarter break.

I love when people say stuff like this. It equates to -- "he's basically like a hall of famer, but better"

Yeah but I think most of us are just having fun with the irrational exuberance. We know it is irrational.

So, the only question is whether he should be called Avery Lillard or Damian Bradley?

He'll be called Donovan Mitchell and he's just going to say to all other PG's, "if I was you, I'd wanna be me too."

haywood can go **** himself. we will get there without him!!

He is obviously going to be a transcendent generational talent, or perennially just a year away from such.

Fixed.

Watch, dungus.

Also, if you don't believe why the heck you on this board for? And don't say to just be a boner killer.

We're only allowed to be on this forum if we believe that a rookie who has never played an NBA game will be a better version of a hall of famer now?.. lulz

the more hood footage i watch back, and college/sl footage from mitchell i see, the more i believe mitchell will be the go-to guy sooner than later. if hood can become someone like rashard lewis was for the magic or detlef schrempf was for the sonics, it'd be gravy, but i dont think he'll reach that. mitchell has much more upside imo.
Good call, by the way.
