What Else Will The Wolves Get?

Utah Jazz CEO Greg Miller tweeted tonight that he had just signed off on a major roster move that he can't reveal until tomorrow.

I believe it's a deal that will send Al Jefferson and the remaining three years and $42 million on his contract to the Jazz for a protected first-round pick from Memphis and more.

What that more is, I don't yet know.

Could be a second round pick.

Could be a prospect such as Kosta Koufos they'd send back to ease their luxury-tax situation.

Could a European prospect who they hold rights to. I'm told Jazz won't give him up, but Rambis paid special attention to center Ante Tomic in a Spanish league game during his European scouting trip with David Kahn in June.

The Wolves just added another power forward to their roster with today's finalization of the Michael Beasley trade.

Now, this will rid them of Jefferson's salary commitment and bring back future assets in return.

The Jazz got the Memphis pick in a trading deadline deal that sent Ronnie Brewer to the Grizzlies.

Here are the conditions on the Memphis first-round pick owed to Utah: Top 14 protected in 2011, top 12 in 2012, top 10 in 2013, top 9 in 2014 and 2015. If a first-round pick isn't conveyed by 2015, cash considerations will apply.

Meanwhile, the Wolves began Las Vegas Summer League play today with an 85-61 loss to San Antonio in which they were awfully banged up by the end.

Jonny Flynn didn't play at all, Wesley Johnson left the game late with a hurting hamstring and Lazar Hayward got hurt right near the end when he got an elbow hard on the inside of his elbow.

Flynn said the same hip that caused him to miss the final game of last season after he had played the first 81 games was bothering him.

But he also said it's much improved over where it was two months ago and said he didn't expect it to be a problem in a couple weeks.

He said he wasn't certain if he'd be able to play in any of the rest of the week's games.

Hayward showed that smooth shooting stroke -- 4 for 10, including 3 for 4 from threes, 13 points -- in 23 minutes he spent mostly at shooting guard, a position he won't play much in the regular NBA season.

Johnson was nearly invisible to start, but got more active as the game went on, finishing off a nice alley-oop dunk and slamming down hard a missed shot on which he was called for offensive goaltending.

I think the mo betta question is this here: What more does them wolves have that we can take, eh?

Da chumps, dem.

I thought we could not include a player with the trade exception? I thought it had to be straight across?

This doesn't make much sense to me.

I guess it's all speculation right now, along with Koufos they can also take Ronnie Price(in hopes the jazz go sign a decent backup pg)

Watch as Boom Bitches goes on to become a 26/12 guy.

without boom bitches in that game, we did not win the series against the nuggets. if it took boom bitches to get jefferson, it is a horrible trade for us. i do not want koufos swooshing a hook shot and yelling boom bitches over al jefferson. i just cant take it.

boom bitches>>>>>>>>>>>>>al jefferson

I'm good with sending them the rights to Peter Fehse.

Hell, if I'm KOC, I do that. I even put it on the resume, "Traded Peter Fehse for Al Jefferson". That's even better than trading Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol.

But... BOOM BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is one of my favorite moments in Jazz history. I don't want to have future booming of bitches taken away from me by trading him away.
