What's new

What happens if the Jazz don't trade Trey Now?

The cat is clearly out of the bag. Trey wants out, so if he isn't traded, how will that affect his play and playing time?

This is a none issue once Burks gets back which I think is any time now. He, and Intles can play all his mins, plus we've seen what the Jazz have done to handle malcontents see Raja Bell he was on the roster, but not on or anywhere near the team.

I don't see Trey putting up a stink or pulling a full Kanter and acting like an idiot. If he doesn't get traded now, he'll just keep working. He probably isn't happy with his current role, but also understands sometimes things just don't work out the way they're planned. Whatever happens I wish him the best. He's handled his ups and downs here like a pro.

I mustve missed it, did he demand a trade?

Rumor is that he asked to be put in a position to start. Jazz are rumored to be open to honoring that request.

So not asking for a trade necessarily. But since the Jazz hitched their wagon to Exum a trade is the obvious answer.

Biggest change - he will have to quit faking flu like symptoms and get back on the court. He will be fine.

After Kanter another player that wants out and pushing for it. I begin to doubt the way the Jazz are handling these situations.

I think this trade won't happen at the end.

Then he will have to find a way to motivate himself to do his job and do it well like the rest of the world.

He did it already many times with the Jazz, we can't question Burke's professionalism. He has been benched at the expense of Exum and Neto two inexperienced players but he never created problems and kept battling.

Really not sure why people insist on painting Burke as a malcontent?

Me either. I think more was read into my comment than was intended.

Burke has been very professional and seems to get along well with the coaches and teammates.

Just thought the thread title question was a funny one, but is something many, many mere mortals not in the NBA also have to deal with from time to time.

Be a professional, motivate yourself, and get it done the best you can.

Not a statement directed at Burke as to what he does or will do.

Yup.

He'll be fine and he'll make a lot of money. He has nothing to worry about with how he's handled himself.

I think it will be business as usual. Trey is a smart guy. He'll play hard, build his value and the Jazz will try to move him in the off season.
Based on Trey's professionalism so far I think this is correct. His only major misstep so far was the nude photos, and that was obviously because he put trust in the wrong person.
