What if we tanked after we drafted Deron?

Well we drafted Dwill in 2005

so, assuming we could have sucked real good then...

in 2006 we would have drafted Lamrcus Aldridge (2nd overall)
in 2007 we would have drafted Kevin Durant (2nd overall)
in 2008 we would have drafted Kevin Love (5th overall)
in 2009 we would have drafted James Harden (3rd overall)

Love
Aldridge


That team would be sick.

What Now Win Now Losers
 
Well I came up with something to determine what odds we would have had those years based on some projections of where every player in the NBA would be and their projected stats totals. I also took into account the odds of trades and things like that. I took just about every known stat or figure known about the NBA and rolled it up into math equation.

Here's what I came up with

5x^-2y^10 over 2x^-1(-3x^-3y^-1)^-2

That was pretty good ********.
 
Yes because if we did tank it we would for sure gotten those exact draft pick # and chosen those players.

Not to mention you are also saying we would have been horrible for 5 years straight...Really? You don't think we would have made any moves to have us not be in the bottom 5 worst teams for 5 years? Does it look like we have a wolf as our logo?

Dude it is math. Of course we would have.
 
Better yet, if we tanked to the worst seed in 2007, we could've drafted Greg Oden!!!!
Or: Adam Morrison in 2006!

We missed out.
 
If I was Anthony Davis I would be Scared if the Bobcats got the #1 pick. All Jordan does is draft busts!
 
but, we would have had to go through that many years of losing, and one loss is hard enough to handle in my opinion...
those players would not have been ok with it and would have left given the chance...
losing is not good for development...
losing becomes part of a teams culture and can be very hard to shake.
 
P.S. KOC haters, the Jazz drafted somewhere between the 2nd and 4th best player in the 2006 draft in the mid-2nd round. What a terrible GM he is and has been.
 
Why win anymore just tank year in and year out. We get to see an all star stud every 5 years or so who leaves after rookie contract. That would be awesome.

We could count winning the lottery as a championships and start keeping track that would be so much fun. We could have banners in the rafters each time we win the lottery.

It's also a great idea.


Look, I'm just messing around. Of course it wouldn't have worked out like that. We would have been to good by the time we got to Harden.

But I still feel like a tank job would have been useful this year.

I will not lie, having two lottery picks would have been nice. Hopefully the Jazz will get a 1st round upset and still land the GSW pick. That way the Jazz can have 3 players in the rising stars challenge next year following the two they had this year. Plus have some playoff experience.
