That's everybody on this team. The rooks of course even more so. But if Sexton or JC has the ball, no-one else is probably touching it. Especially in the 4th Q. Not Lauri, not John, not Walker.
And Hardy is fine with it.

Collier has never inspired when it comes to shooting. I love his defense and his playmaker though. But if you don't respect his shot, he will not be able to playmake.

Generally, the TS% is 30 to 50 points higher than turnover percentage and no player has ever had a season with their turnover percentage being higher than their TS%.
Would be a pretty horrendous but remarkable achievement.

I like Collier's effort, but let's be real here. He is not NBA level right now and arguably the worst player in the league getting minutes. No such thing as "freezing out" the worst player in the league. Especially a ball dominant ball handler. He's not good enough right now and chances are he won't be ever.
Collier is an elite tank commander. He is undeniably one of the worst (if not the worst) player getting minutes in the league and Hardy does love to play him. Remember when Hardy benched Sexton for him in the SAS game?
But despite him being so bad, I think he does increase the watchability of the games. He plays hard, he plays for his teammates, and even though he’s not shooting much his fingerprints are all over the game.

DA didn't just blow up the team, he destroyed it. What a mistake to hire him. But he wanted to go back home and his LDS buddies welcomed him with open arms. Not easy though to be a GM. Hard to predict how young players turn out. Sometimes, it's just because of injuries. Looks like the Jazz will never get back to their glory days. I maintain that the sky is not falling and that Danny Angel has generally been a Godsend. He came in and immediately engineered two of the most lopsided trades in NBA history. Through trades and the draft, he’s made the team one of the most solvent and asset rich teams in the league. I believe that his picks though possibly not perfect (Whitmore, Knecht) are a damn sight better than his predecessor’s.
Draft prospects can’t be evaluated in the first year. Sensabaugh looked like a league superstar last night while many wrote him off just last season. Keyonte struggled early on and yet now ostensibly ahead of many taken before him. Hendrix was a defensive beast in his second season before going down to injury.
Everything said about Collier was said about Williams a couple months ago and Williams looks like a new man after a stint in G League - damn if he didn’t look a lot like J-Dub finishing at the rim last night. Anybody want to bet me that Collier doesn’t make the same recovery? This guy was the number one high school recruit in the Country just a couple years ago. You really think that that combination of speed and strength just grows on trees? Might be different if we took him in lottery position but at 29 I still see him as a bargain roll of the dice.

Do people generally think that any half-competent GM couldn't have gotten the same trades once the owner had made the decision that things should be blown up?
I don't think Ainge has some strange psychic capabilities to get picks and players that others couldn't.
Also choosing the Minny and Cavs offers over anything else that was available hasn't really appreciated in value over time - as the Cavs picks especially look quite worthless going forward.
No he didn't. It was a game in which (for one of quite a few times so far) he looked competent and serviceable. Not a superstar in any way.
No he wasn't. He was fine. Also, he played in 2½ games.
He had a couple of good plays. Not even a decent one game.
So far nothing that Danny got in the trades looks franchise-altering. Some picks seem like they're fine ... and that's all. Kessler is usable. Markkanen obviously has been excellent - but at the same time the team chose to tank with him multiple times.

Why not try a lineup of summer league and two way players: Potter, Oscar, Davy Jones, Kessler, Juzang, Collier, Cody, Flip, Key and Brice? This would give development. Let Lauri, the two JCs, Svi, Sexton and Eubanks heal their contusions.

There are players that are solid contributors on solid teams as rookies already. Or at least showing signs of growth. While others are pretty much the worst player in the whole league getting consistent minutes. It's not the expectation to be a star as a rookie, but not embarrass yourself in relation to the rest of the draft class.
Because the players aren't in on it. And the NBA and the Players Association will come down on the franchise should they try.
And losing by 50 every night certainly wouldn't "give development" to anyone. Quite the opposite.

Collier has flashes as a true point guard. He reads situations well. There is a lot to like about him.

Collier at his VERY best could be a light Marcus smart. A pissy, defense first, bowling ball who makes just enough shots to be valuable and who competes on every play.
That is a comp based on his body type, play style, best characteristics... not his per 36 stats.

He could also EASILY be out of the league like most players in 3 years because he couldn't shoot. But he is definitely getting a chance many dream of but never get.
