What movie scenes get you Teary-Eyed?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_wnD6jxREU

So I think I am an anomaly as this scene never produced tears for me, and I have wondered why. Then I think maybe it is indicative of how disconnected fathers can be and how kids long for a better relationship with their fathers so this rings true that people want a connection they didn't get as a kid, so it generates tears. I had (and still have) a great relationship with my dad, so maybe that is why this doesn't really ring any bells for me. It is a touching moment, but I find it more sad (as in it is sad that his dad put baseball ahead of his child) than anything else.

Forest Gump when Bubba dies.

Every time I am reminded that Bubba was the only person on the bus that was accepting of Forest to sit with him on the bus and became friends with him and then he dies :(

When I was a little kid it is when Mufasa dies in the Lion King.

Did you love baseball as a child or have a catch with your father?

Absolutely. SFU is one of the best shows ever. It just drags you in so super hard that the final kills you. Remember the episode of Dexter grabbing a hitchhiker?

Yup, crazy episode with the hitchhiker. Just a great, great show. One of my four all-time favorites, along with Breaking Bad, The West Wing, and Texhnolyze (anime). If you don't cry at least a little during the final three episodes, I'm not sure you're human. And that music video at the end... whoa...

BTW, I like Sabonis in your sig. That guy was awesome. As are the others, of course.

Yeah thanks. It's about this draft game we're playing right now that Quinsnydershair started. That was the best I could do. I added Elvin Hayes after those five.

No. I played baseball and we did have a catch (that phrase is weird to me, we always said "play catch") from time to time. We also played basketball, went fishing, and I helped him a lot at his place of business. We went camping, hunting, and traveled around the western states. But nothing that specifically tied baseball to our relationship.

Great one

The ending of Band of Brothers, when one of the old soliders was saying that hey wasn't a hero, but he served with many. I'm paraphrasing, but that always gets to me. They did a great job of getting the audience tied emotionally with all the characters. One of the few things I have seen that made me tear up.

Edit-From IMDB:

Richard D. Winters: [real life interview with Winters where he quotes Mike Ranney on how Ranney answered a question his grandson once asked him] I treasure my remark to my grandson who asked, "Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?" Grandpa said, "No... but I served in a company of heroes".

This got me teary-eyed real bad. Iroh was my favorite character from Avatar. Knowing the voice behind him died and then watching, listening to this was a really sad experience for me.
