The good news is that I think him being a RFA will scare a lot of teams away from making an offer since he was such a big part of our team. It is safe to assume most reasonable offers will be matched.

The bad news is that if a team does make an offer it will be a team with plenty of cap room that will overpay to scare Jazz away from matching or put Jazz in a rough cap position. Kind of like what happened with Wesley Matthews.

This.
But in any case, hope Jazz locks Ingles for a few years.
As I have said multiple times already I'd rather Jazz prioritize Ingles over Hill.

He seems like an MLE player to me. Anyone know what the MLE will be this year? Like $7 million or something?

3rd best 3 point shooter in the league and a solid defender and playmaker/passer.

I think he will take less money to stay with Utah than he could get elsewhere, but just for fun, let's keep an eye on JJ Redick to see what he gets. I think people will be shocked when they realize what the market is for somebody like Joe.

I love me some Jingles, but this is nutty.

So if you had a team that wanted to improve their 3 point shooting, who are the guys at the top of that list? And of those players, how many of them are weak defensive players?

I think Joe is being underestimated here a bit. It's ok though, he's used to it.;)

He's worth about twice that.

If Utah can sign him to a 4 year/40 million deal they should jump on it. He'll be able to get 10-15 elsewhere.

He is gonna be 30 next year. I dont know why you invest on a backup player who just made his peak and who will not be any better anymore so much. I would be down 20-25 m 3 years, not more.

Joe isnt a sharpshooter, wake up. He is a jack of all master of none guy. I think Korver would have helped us better in this position because JJ and Hayward are pretty much doing same things.
