I think the Sarver stuff will cause an issue with anything going through Phx. for the next few weeks. Guessing their focus is elsewhere.

Maybe he doesn't get moved before the season?
I think PHX is the safety net team for a Bogey trade. I dont think Sarver stuff matters really. I bet it's already been discussed and both sides know what a deal would be if Utah decides to go with them.

Might be... I just wonder if $10M fine and any trade that increases the luxury tax bill might change their thinking.

I was looking around the league a little bit and I think Memphis could be an interesting dark-horse team for Bogey to get traded to. His salary works for Steven Adams expiring straight across.

Memphis has all of their future 1sts plus Golden State’s 2024 1st (top-4 protected).

The Grizzlies can then roll with Bogey at PF and JJJ at C.
Yeah Memphis has been weirdly quiet all off-season. You'd think they'd be more aggressive trying to improve their team to put them over the hump considering they own the rights to all of their 1st round picks and have GSW top 4 protected '24 pick.

I think they are almost definitely worse than last year... they also had cap space to do something if they wanted and did nothing.

Lost Kyle Anderson, Melton, JJJ for 6 months

Gained - Rookies.

Decent point.

Sarver should probably just sell the team and make billions.
The minority owners may try to force him out with the report as the reason for doing so... not sure how much money they have behind them... but they should try.

Sarver = Michael Scott
I guarantee he has tried the finger through the zipper hole trick on his employees. He seems like the worst combination of a bunch of old white guys I've come across throughout life.

Even though we’re supposed to be tanking, I’d love to have Steven Adams - just because. He’s one of my favorite players not on the Jazz.

Losing JJJ is huge but losing those other guys mean nothing. They had a minutes crunch and Brandon Clarke is a better player than Anderson and between Tyus Jones, Konchar and Zaire there weren't going to be many backup guard minutes available so they could afford to move Melton without it really hurting their depth.

Clarke is absolutely not a better player than Anderson.

Its not huge until the injury bug comes for them.

YEah, they do have good depth, but are those depth pieces true playoff difference makers?

I would say they need to consolidate some assets into more top end talent to compliment Bane/Morant/JJJ.
