What's new

What time is deadline today?

Fear not KOC's goal here is too build chemistry with this squad. We have just began to see what they can do as a cohesive unit. Bell, Howard, Miles, and Al will be extended after this season with our young guys continuing to provide 10 minutes of backup until their rookie deal is over, at which point they will become too expensive and will need to be let go. </sarcasm>

Raja bell is negotiating a buyout according to Brian t smith

After not being traded today, Raja Bell will not attempt to negotiate a buyout with #UtahJazz, source with knowledge of situation said.

Nope. One word makes a world of difference.

That's a bummer, I was going to offer him the ham sandwich to just leave.
That should be fair.

I just want to play the one(or two or three) word game with this.

Considerign they usually go on to other big things alot. It also says alot about the failure of the Jazz Brass to make something out of these guys before they walk.

What !? Everyone knows that Jazz players are a product of good coaching and the Jazz System, I mean really guys like Shandon Anderson, Howard Eisley and Bryon Russell don't do anything after they leave here.

Sorry, I have an unusal amount of negative energy today. My wife and cat thank you all for allowing me to vent here.

Neither did Malone. He was a system guy too.

March Madness is more like March Sadness if you are a Jazz fan. On second thought, I am also feeling mad. March Sadmadness.

But Howard was. Teams were contacting the Jazz about Howard. The Jazz brushed them off.

"We're 10th in the West with absolutely no chance to make noise in the playoffs and in a tenuous position as an organization, hardly having an identity, and the only thing we have going for us is our position in the future. We're good. We'd like to keep a guy that signed with us explicitly to raise his value so he could earn his last real contract and certainly won't or shouldn't be back. No thanks. Keep whatever it is that helps us."

Did reports ever come out about what may have been offered for Howard?

I doubt it was exclusively "here, have a longterm contract that nobody wants", and outside of that, I'm not sure that it matters.

I believe Danny Green was discussed. I think rookie contract players or cheap/washed up expiring vets with some pick consideration was probably the name of the game. I don't know why teams would be calling the Jazz just to unload their crap on us for a good veteran on a dirt-cheap contract.

Meh. I know people like that with other sports teams, more pathetic and childish than true fan.

You are so full of ****. Basically your arguement is that because they are not the type of fan that you are they are not a true fan.

Fine, I do not consider you a true fan. Now added to my ignore list because I come here to talk to true Jazz fans not posers.

I was pissed as most yesterday but now that I've had a day to cool off and reflect on the other trades that were made I can see how the Jazz lost out on trading partners. Spurs got SJax so no need for Howard, Clipps got Nick Young so no need for Raja or Miles, Nets didn't need to clear space for D12 so no Miles trade.

GSW's did the best IMO a few draft pics and Bogut pretty much for Monte Ellis. Surprised by the Blazers but they got more than they gave for Wallace so I guess it wasn't all bad. NJ the real losers especially if DWill leaves.
