What will absolve the FO in your eyes?

I don't think people realize how tough a spot Corbin is in. How many other teams have their 2 best (arguably) and highest paid players that are veterans and also have the next 2 best players (arguably) in their 2nd and 3rd years coming up right behind them? Its hard to find time for 4 guys who should all be playing. Jefferson is basically the only player that can score 1 on 1, Kanter is getting better, Favors is very very weak offensively but is a very good defender, and Millsap tries really hard but is just to small to be a great player. They all have strengths, they all have weaknesses. Its a lot deeper than Jefferson sucks at D and is boring he has to sit. Its not that simple.

I do think Marvin should have been sent to the bench along time ago, and Burks has proven us naysayers wrong. Mistakes have been made, but Ty is not in an easy spot either.

To be honest I do not care how hard of a spot Corbin is in. He is paid millios to coach this team. Not make friends or coddle players.

Completely agree. Sometimes you have to play the stupid political BS in order to keep the team functioning though. Its definitely not as black and white as some on here make it out to be.

^^^^ I agree with Hartsock.

Coach Ty is playing the hand that KOC gave him, and his goal is to win. We can all armchair his decisions, that is fair, but he still has to play the players KOC got for him. This team is obviously unbalanced and missing pieces.

If Coach Ty had to play a veteran to keep the 8 FA's on the same page, then so be it. Keeping that many soon to be FA's from checking out is an accomplishment.

If anyone can find me evidence of another coach who sat his highest paid player, who was playing fairly well, not great but not terrible either, still for a 2nd or 3rd year player who hasn't proven a whole lot other than a few flashes of what could be. I would love love love to see it.

I agree that the roster is unbalanced and missing pieces. However that does not excuse Corbin for misusing the pieces he does have. Such as Foye guarding elite SGs and PGs in Crunch time. I thought he would have learned that when Kobe when off on Foye several weeks ago. Or letting Watson see the floor at all when you havee a much more capable players on the bench.

In March Kanter is averaging 19 pts, 13 rebs, 1 block, 1 ast and shooting 69%. Funny as that is when Al went down and Kanter actually started to get time on the floor. We can ignore the stuff like hustle and playing D that do not show up on the court.

Ignoring everything else, Corbin should bench Big Al for his non effort, no heart D. Just watching a guy drive past? Inexcusable. Will he catch the majority of cutters? hell no. But not trying? Sit your butt on the bench.

Big Al drives me crazy on D. The FO has actually done very well, especially for being a small market Utah team. I think we have one of the best FO in the league. Just consider how many stupid moves other front offices make. I mean, come on. Philly traded Iggy and That vuvichic dude for Bynum who will likely never play another strong season again. the Knicks had a terrible FO for years and becsaue of it we ended up landing Hayward. Look at Minny or Golden state who is just finally coming around after their tank job last season. Or what about Atlanta who signed Joe Johnson to that stupid contract. And most everyone on here wanted Brandon Knight over KAnter on draft day, and look at the situation now. Is there anyone that would take Knight over Kanter now... I don't think there is. The FO is pretty good. They made the D-will trade and have kept utah competitive whiel rebuilding. I can find a lot of fault for the coaching staff but not really for the FO. I think they now what is pending if they SIgn Big AL in the offseason. they know that would not be a good idea with KAnter and Favors waiting in the wings. I would be super super shocked if they signed Big AL becasue it just doesn't make any sense to do so. The coaching Staff does need to improve. Corbin really needs to figure out lineups that give us the best chance to win.

I have no faith in the Jazz management. Im sure they'll find a way to screw up next year too.

The irony here is that we would be a better team if we played the young guys more. The Jazz just can't get out of their own way.

I would see hope and be happy if we fired Corbin and let Al, Mo, Sap, Watson, Tinsley all walk. But they won't. Al or Millsap will be back. Corbin will be back, in fact he'll be here a long time.. Mo will be back. And we will have more frustrating days ahead next year watching Mo take Burks munutes and Al or Paul starting over Kanter or Favors. We will be screaming at our tv's for yet another year. I just dont think the Jazz get it. I think they over think things way too much and just hurt themselves. I don't think the frustration ever ends until there are sweeping changes. Other wise we will be only mediocre forever.

Im pretty confident that will all comes true. And Im sure 9/10 people on Jazzfanz think that is crazy, but time will prove me right. I just dont think a tiger changes its stripes. The Jazz will forever be half good, half retarded.

I think most people on here agree with you -- look at the Fire Corbin Poll results.

I think some of you are underestimating the effect the luxury tax is going to have on salaries. I think people like Hayward will get around 8 now when he is actually worth more. Favors will be looking at maybe 10. Teams will be selling really good players for cheap. Essentially, Cuban was right when he said the Lakers should seriously consider amnestying Bryant whose contract will cost them around 100m next year.

Kanter is smarter, smoother, has more touch, has more skill, is a better shooter, a better passer, the only things Favors has on Kanter is size and athleticism and Kanter isn't lacking a whole lot in either of those areas.
Favors is a much better defender. So far anyway. Combined I love the future of those 2 players. I wish it was the present.
