What will it take to get Bledsoe?

Assuming CP3 re-signs with the Clippers.

Both first round picks?

Both picks + Burks?

Taking on Caron Butler's contract?

Teams needing a starting PG is becoming less and less... with Orlando & NO likely to pick up Burke & MCW this year. Then Next year there'll also be a new crop of PG coming for other teams as well.

On that basis I'd offer them our #21 pick + Burks for Bledsoe.

I don't think Clippers can do much better than that actually.

the problem is the clips won't know if cp3 will re-sign until after the draft and I would not trade next years pick for him.

combo of future picks lotto protected.

If we thought Mo Williams didn't get the "other" guys involved I have a hard time believing that Bledsoe will be any better....

Not saying I'm against adding Bledsoe.... He's a lot better than anything else we have at the point... However, I don't exactly see him breaking any assist record anytime soon.... But hell, maybe he's what we need at the PG spot? Someone who can create, drive to the rim, and defend like Westbrook does for OKC or TP for SA.

I agree he's not a pure point.. but he has elite speed and strength.. defense .. and keeps the defense on their toes.
I wouldn't give up a ton.. but I would waaaaaay rather have him than Mo.

That's ok. There is such a thing as trading the draft rights to a player you selected. I would NOT trade Burks + picks for Bledsoe, though. As Cope mentioned, I'd take Teague and he'd cost us nothing in terms of compensation. Draft rights to our #21 pick + Murphy for Bledsoe. Clippers get a TPE and cap relief.

Eric Bledsoe was Earl Watson level suckage after the All-Star break.

*Obviously a hyperbole, but he sucked.

I might rather have Teague. I really like Teague. I'm going to have to think about this.

Much rather have Teague.

Not that I wouldn't want Bledsoe, but he is still somewhat of a question mark in my eyes. Teague has been there, done that and proved he is a winning starting PG. Not 100% sure Bledsoe is.

I like Jeff Teague, he looks good all around. We don't need a start point guard, just one that is smart and runs the offense good. Then if we draft a younger point guard we can put him behind teague with the second unit.

I can, but then I think about our perimeter shooting with both of them and I cringe.

You'd PnR and attack the rim all day and night. (and it isnt like Connolly is some lights-out shooter...)

It's about beating the **** outta folks physically and mentally. I think jazz fans are ready for that.
