What's new

What would our record be right now with Dante?

Guys, did you know Dante gets 0.2 blocks per game? That's HUGE for a guard. I think it might be the best of all time in fact. His perimeter defense is the best ever, 0.2 blocks yo! Even David Locke agrees with me and all the announcers and 1280zone guys for the Jazz. They ALL say Dante has top notch defense.

you're kind of a tool ...

Trolling? lol. Were you one of those who claimed I was trolling when I predicted how bad Kanter would be? Fishonjazz was I know for sure. Some of you beg to be "trolled" only to eat crow and adopt my predictions/ride my sack a couple years down the road. It's cool, feel trolled. In fact, I'll troll with my next post.
I remember you talking tons of **** about favors, Hayward, Burks, AND kanter.

Come to think of it, I never see you post anything positive about any of our players or coaches.
Jazz fan? I think not
Troll? Likely

I, on the other hand, have been pretty much right 100% about every player. My biggest miss is Burke, who I considered a lost cause, but might actually turn out to be a passable backup PG. Always hated on Kanter, and always praised Favors, Burks, Hayward, and Hood.

So with my amazing perfect record, I think Dante was near worthless last season, hurting us on O at least as much as he was helping us on D. Neto is garbage offensively as well, and not as good defensively, so maybe Dante would have made a small difference to our record. He was NOT the defensive juggernaut people make him out to be, but he was an effective defender. I also don't see top 20 potential in him at all. It would be the shock of a lifetime. I expect him to become a 10-12pts 5-7 assists kind of player who plays good D. Pretty much an average, or at best slightly above average, starting PG

Aren't you a clever little munchkin ... it's a wonder the Jazz haven't been beating your door down for help !

While Dante wasn't a beast, he stays in front of his man, can switch on most players, and contests shots better than any guard we have with a 6'10" wingspan. There is a chance he could have improved a lot, it tends to happen with players in the 20-23 year old range, ya know?

Dante is an enigma. Will he develop into the player scouts thought he would or won't he? You can argue either way. It's pretty fascinating isn't it?

Well i remember hearing people saying that he maybe should have went #1 and comparisons to Kobe and whatnot.

I dont think he develops into that....... oh hell, i dont think he ever becomes an all star.

bottom line is nobody can tell or will know for a couple of years. How many people thought Rudy would be what he is in year one ??? All we know is he physically is gifted and has a crapload of potential, and the team functioned undeniably well with him on the court. He may pan out as being just mildly better than what he was last year, or he court morph into a a penetrating foul drawing offensive machine as well. Time will tell, but if he turns into something like what he did in that summer league game ... holy cow look out for the Jazz

Agreed

I think if we would have scored more than the other team did in a couple of those games, we would have won. But I'm just guessing.

This only proves you are a great judge of everything but point guards.
