Titos is really the best vodka youve ever had?

I'm not saying it's not, ive never had it. It's just not all that spensive so ya.

Also, vodka to me is more that drank you pour in a bottle of gatorade when you want to sneak booze somewhere than it is something to be enjoyed, but maybe I just need a mind changer on that.

The most expensive Vodka I've had is Grey Goose, to be honest I dont know where that ranks in the hierarchy of Vodkas other than its got a good rep and stupid girls will think you are a baller if you have it. Tito's is better than Grey Goose though, a lot better IMO. My buddy won Mixoligist of the year from Salt Lake Magazine just barely and he swears by Titos also, so its got to be at least pretty decent. It is also fairly cheap, not like Popov but you aren't going to spend your whole alcohol budget on it either.

But yeah, Vodka is little more than something to pour in whatever you have handy when you need to sneak something to me also.

Not always, but usually.. as do most people nowadays. Gin is kind of ... "out."

Gin might be out, but if you want a martini it's sort of a requirement. A "vodka martini" isn't even really a martini.

I get that from a purist's standpoint. I also am of the opinion that an original gin martini is what it is because of the unique aroma and taste of the gin .. vs. vodka.

The main reason I am using vodka is gin has an aftertaste (for me, at least) after a few drinks that vodka doesn't give me.

I am a purist in most things and so I get what you're saying.

I've always been a down and dirty style drinker, just pour some booze into some mixer and let er rip, but maybe I'll start actually mixing some cocktails all legit and stuff.

The only thing I've ever really made legit is margaritas.

I like long island ice tea.

Long island ice tea = throw all the booze you've got into a glass, splash a coke to top it off.

Easy peasy.

I've never ordered a mixed drink at a bar (just drink shots and beers) and when I've mixed my own drinks my recipe is basically "some booze and some other stuff" with no plan, then I just drink it way fast.

Not much better than a great mojito while on vaca on a beach. But like pkm said, they have to be made just right. I have had some bad mojitos a lot more often than good ones
