Tried juniper berry lager from local brewery yesterday. Had kind of unique taste which I enjoyed for some unknown reason. Will try again.

Honest question: is there such thing as non-alcoholic beer that tastes gud?

I have never understood this.

If someone wants to drink a beverage without alcohol in it then there are lots of good choices.
Juice, soda, milk, water, etc

Why would someone want a non alcoholic drink with the flavor of beer? That's gross

I had a friend who, when his dad tried to stop drinking he would switch to non-alcoholic beer. I just feel like the whole time I would be annoyed drinking a ****ty tasting beer and knowing it didn't even have any alcohol in it. I'd just sit there wanting the real thing.

His success rate with the switching to NA beer wasn't very good back when I used to hang out over there.

And I do those things, quite often. Don't lose sleep over the fact that I can't drink alcoholic beverages.

With that said, beer has a unique taste, and if there was a type that was alcohol-free and tasted good, I'd be willing to give it a shot

The honest answer is why even bother?

how many liters a day do you consume? Do you have a container that is dedicated to your diet soda?

Jesus. Would bet lots of money that drinking one of those a day is way, way worse than casual alcohol consumption.

If there was a non-alcoholic beer that tasted good, then I would drink it-- because it tastes good.

Beverages don't need to have associated physiological effects. If I liked coffee, I'd drink decaffeinated versions of it-- because of it's taste. Who cares if it doesn't have caffeine. I regularly drink caffeine-free tea (and prefer it, in fact).

You'd have a hard time finding a bookie for that bet. The evidence is pretty conclusive with respect to sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, etc. Moreover, there are plenty of studies that show organic alcoholic beverages (i.e. those free from the ******** of mass production; i.e. those made traditionally), when consumed in moderation, can have health BENEFITS.
