The Ozymandias episode is incredible though. Vince Gilligan has also gone on record saying it's the best episode of the series. Not that his opinion necessarily makes it true, but it's worth noting.

You seem to be mixing up intelligence and pretension. I'm not pretentious. I don't adopt styles or views for the purpose of conforming to anyone's perspective on what is important or intellectual.

Fantastic episode
 
Fly was the most try hard episode conceptually. Agreed it came off as somewhat pretentious but I can also see why they did it.
 
I didn't mind Rogue one, but agree it didn't have a very Star Wars feel (though I understand why, as pretty much none of these characters are going on to something more). Had to be more about the action/storyline than about character development.

Every season there is a "cheap" episode. An episode where you basically run out of money. You wanted to do something big in another episode, so you steal money from one episode to pay for another.

The Fly was the episode where there was no money left over, so an episode was made in one room, for minimal money, to allow for better things.

That's why that episode sucked.
 
I believe the term is a "bottle episode".

It's the "oh ****, we have no money, what the hell do we do now?" episode.
 
Essentially, anyone who claims that episode's greatness is just trying too hard. That's an obvious "douchebag" alert.
