YesSo should I see the Accountant? I mean what's the consensus?
I really like the parts about Afflecks childhood and how his autism affected his life and his father's way of dealing with it.Thanks man, your word means a lot, I'll give it a go.
Cant wait for his annoying take on it.

Wish there would have been more scenes from his childhood.
Pretty interesting
I'm gonna watch the Accountant tonight and tell you guys what I think.
Stay tuned.
The Accountant
LOL .. somebody forgot to tell me this was a comedy? Why? It started out all serious and cool and all together the first 1/2, then went completely off the rail aka GSW's meltdown at the NBA Finals last year.
All joking aside, it was an interesting enough action movie, albeit a bit strange. The first half showed lots of promise with solid backstory, well acted, well edited and shot, and there was a good amount of tension/suspense there to keep you guessing.
Then when you hit the 1 hour mark something strange happened, LOL .. it turned from a potentially great action movie to a superhero type action movie... think Batman Begins without the mask and the cape.
That's not necessarily bad had it not tried to take itself too seriously at the same time, which was a mistake because there were so many plot holes, enough to sink the Titanic.
All in all, an amusing movie, ... but as I'd said, it's actually a comedy, about how a promising, potentially pretty good action movie could turn into a b-rate superhero flick you just couldn't wait to end.
2/5 for me.
There were no plot holes...
How is it a Super-hero movie? Are you aware of action movies? Have you ever seen the Bourne series? James Bond? John Wick? It's a dude killing a bunch of people, that is typically what action movies are.
He's autistic. He stressed over trying to solve an accounting problem. He was on medication and had to listen to loud music to calm himself.
Then all of a sudden he's able to gun down 10 highly trained, fully equiped mercenaries with 1 rifle in the dark?
Sorry man, but that's too cartoonish for me to take seriously.
No, he uses the medicine and music to calm himself when he doesnt finish something. It's like when they show him doing the puzzle as a child and he cant find the last piece, he starts flipping out. When he can finish a task it calms him.
Again, it's an action movie. He is a highly skilled assassin who has autism. Have you seen any action movie ever? Maybe they just arent your thing. If you walk away from an action movie and you say "Oh I liked it but its so unrealistic how he hits every shot, even while running" then maybe action movies arent for you.
Jason Bourne, James Bond, these guys are trained agents of the States, they do it for a living. It's what they do.
What specialised training did the accountant receive to suddenly take down 10 highly trained mercenaries loaded with weapons?
It's borderline Bruce Wayne without a cape and a mask.. LOL.
