What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

I just started the Iranian flick The Salesman. Love it so far.

Edit: I have about 40 minutes left and have felt for the last 45 something that feels slightly predictable about the film...I'm curious if it goes in that direction.

Anyone seen the new Spider man movie, it's getting pretty good reviews and it's by the director of Cop Car so I am intrigued

caught this movie on tv earlier today, I enjoyed it, one of the better forgotten movies of the 90's.

Always had a thing for Minnie Driver... but I've never seen this film.

I liked alien covenant alot.... until the last 20 minutes or so.

Watched The circle. Interesting premise and Tom hanks killed it like always. The movie ultimately sucked though. Emma Watson was about as bad as anyone could possibly be in a movie.
I felt like I was watching Kristen Stewart in twighliht or something.

Saw the king king movie. Thought it was ok.

Lost city of Z. Better than king Kong, not as good as alien covenant.

Saw spiderman homecoming. It didn't have the best action in it but I thought it was amazing. The villain in it was amazing (it was the real batman!) and I was actually secretly kinda rooting for the villein the whole time. Tomorrow I'm watching Babydriver I hope it good, it got good reviews.

Dunkirk was really good. You all should go see it. as usual, Nolan pulled off a hell of a movie.
I want to see it really bad.

I've been way into a PC game "World of Warships" and they are promoting the movie with some cool content in the game with a mission that mimics the evacuation. It's a "free to play" game that is based on WWI & WWII historical ships.

I watch very very few movies, but I will like 90% rent Dunkirk on demand when it comes available.

I was hyped about Valerian but I heard nothing but bad reviews about it.

And Cara Delevingne looks hot in it.

Atomic Blonde. I freaking love Charlize Theron. She was awesome. Cast is great too. Not as good as John Wick, though. It could do better without some of the plot points and twists but the action scenes are just too much fun and Charlize Theron kills it.

I don't know what it's like on 'normal' movie screen, but boy was it FANTASTIC on IMAX. I went with my cousin the other day and he recommended seeing it on IMAX screen because Nolan shot it on IMAX.

Wow. It was simply amazing. Like you literally see twice the amount of screen as the normal screen (width wise). It was VERY immersive. I don't think there's another non 3D movie that's as immersive as this. The sound was VERY loud also. Definitely pay that little bit extra to go see it on IMAX.

Boy, was it AMAZING.

Heard it's visually great, the sound as always is too overwhelming, and the plot/writing is meh.

You either love it or hate it tbh. It's basically like he took that 'Bane Plane Scene' in the Dark Knight Rises, and turned it into a whole movie with historical grounding.

I'm a fan of Nolan so I took it for what it was, immersed myself in it and just roll with it and I'd really enjoyed it.

Harry Styles was fantastic in this BTW... that was a HUGE surprise for me.

Saw Dunkirk and war of the planet of the apes. Both were good, but I like WOTPOTA better, which is odd, as I usually like reality based movies much more than fantasy stuff.

I, too, went to Atomic Blonde. I have what may be a mildly differing opinion.

First, John Wick > Atomic Blonde >= John Wick II. Not that JWII was bad, and it was a crazy fun ride, but just doesn't quite measure up to the original story wise.

Second, AB looses points for being American Propaganda. We get it... The CIA is the best Intelligence organization on the planet. Great. I don't know about you, but I grow weary of hearing about it. I can only suck my own **** so long.

Overall though, CT does frickin kill it in a HUGE way.

Just got out of Dunkirk. Thoughts can be fleeting, especially for me, and I'm going to try to write up a thoughtful post later on the movie but in short, for me, it was Nolan's worst movie along with TDKR and a complete ****show of a script. 6/10. Had some of the scenes, namely many of the aerial sequences and broad beach landscapes, not been so wonderfully shot, it likely would have been a 5/10 for me.

Don't see it.

I just watched The Invisible Guest, a Spanish flick that reminded me of a few different American films but I don't want to mention them for spoiler reasons. I'd definitely recommend it. It gets an 8.0 on IMDB, was well-acted and pretty well-written (though a little predictable)...the ending was good but hinged on a plot device of which I'm not a big fan.

Boner alert!!!! Holy ****!!!!

This isn't the right thread but IDGAF.

Looks like True Detective season 3 is happening....supposedly NP has been workin with Milch from Deadwood and really kicking *** with the scripts, not rushing them to simply air the show. It also sounds like executives at HBO have shifted around and the right people are in place to simply let these guys write without any deadlines. Right now the dude who won the Oscar from Moonlight is the only name attached. I saw Moonlight and the dude kicked ***.
