What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

I have only heard good things about it but it seems people are divided. I guess they went with a original plot as opposed to Force Awakens and fans got upset over it. Well, people got upset over Force Awakens as well. Gotta see it.

What'd you think about it? For me the 1st 1/3 was crap, a fragmented mess IMO. But it redeemed itself in the final 2/3 and really got going. It was original and hopeful and forward looking. I can't wait to see what else they've got coming up.

I haven't seen it yet. Plan to see it in the next 2-3 days.

Yep. Dunkirk sucked. The dialogue was almost completely unintelligible due to Nolan pumping up the music. There was no backstory (other than some terribly cheesy and hollow text at the beginning) as to what exactly was going on in the war and so forth. Some of the plot made no sense to me. Like how we’re all these Allies on the beach and yet the Germans (or whomever, I forget) were shooting through that beached boat in which dudes were hiding for their lives? Where the hell were these Germans at to be able to do that without the Good guys knowing and shooting back? Also, how the hell would be a boat with all those holes in it carry out to sea that far? I’m assuming it happened in real life but who knows. Also, there was very little to show how these townspeople got together to save these dudes. An awful script and sound. I did like Murphy in it quite a bit and loved the aerial scenes as they were gorgeous and sweeping and felt original and like something cinematically original, though I’m sure they weren’t totally though I can’t think of any plane sequences in war other than Tora, Tora, Tora!

My thoughts exactly. I rarely knew what the **** was going on.

Dunkirk. Hated it. Probably partly due to watching on my phone and also i couldn't understand a lot of the dialogue (there isn't much) due to the accents.

Watching Mother now.... About halfway through and really liking it so far.
If there ever is a movie to see on the big screen it's this one. I saw it on the IMAX screen and it was very immersive and real. I felt like I was right there on the beach for 2 hours. Notwithstanding the plot and the accent it was one of the best cinematic experiences I've ever had.

Just finished watching Mother. It was going so well and then when it was about 3/4 of the way done it turned into nonsensical insanity.

Don't say I didn't warn you...

Finally got a chance to watch Mother!

Directed by Darren Anorofsky (Black Swan), and I liked Black Swan so this was intriguing to say the least. Started off VERY promising. Star studded, and it did made me think, I give it that. But the last 3/4 it just all went to custard and never recovered. It did have a message, but it was drummed so hard the whole time my ear drum nearly exploded.

Finally got around to watching Ghost in the Shell, live action.

I expected it to be dumbed down philosophically and plot wise but I didn't expect they would change what makes Ghost in the Shell unique. Why make a clear villain? Why is this story so interested in Major's past? Why waste a great character in puppet master by changing his origin and motives?

Stick to the Original and don't waste your time with this. Not everything needs to be adapted so dumb Americans can watch it.

Mayhem is like Office Space meets The Purge.
I liked it. Not a lot to it but it was fun. The female lead is way hot too which helps. She is in a movie called The Babysitter too btw.

Justice League wasn't as much a disappointment I thought it would be, prolly because I ain't expecting quality work from DC. DC suffers a lot from ****** villains, unnecessary plots and forced themes. And what's up with Caville's acting? Not that he was a great actor but it felt like his acting took 5 steps backwards.

There were funny bits in it, though.

I saw the Shape of Water tonight. I really enjoyed it. I loved the art style, the music, the weird romance story, the characters and Michael Shannon (one if my favorite actors - nails the bad guy role.) Del Toro is such an interesting director and love his dark, artsy side.

Watched it today, this movie is horribly overfilled with different subplots that feel like they should have been condensed/taken out of the movie altogether. It feels like they let the Director's imagination run wild and so he tried to fit in as many ideas as he could in one movie and no one came around to tell him that probably was not a good idea. I'm honestly surprised how high the score the reviews have been considering how messy the story is. It gave me a headache at one point and I just asked myself, what the heck is going on.

This movie is also really awkwardly paced. Which just adds to the headaches/confusion.To me it's clear what they should have focused on was the core of the movie involving - Kylo/Luke/Rey. The scenes I enjoyed the most involved these characters. Not everything works involving them but it doesn't feel like dumb/pointless filler that leads to nothing which is what a lot of this movie felt like.

I thought his acting was fine. I believe he is Superman when he plays him.

Creep 2 is on Netflix and it's as good as the original Creep. Watch it if you are into low budget creative indie movies.

Bright

I was hoping it would be really stupid in an enjoyable way, but it ended up just being a pretty bland cop movie. Interesting concept for a world, but that's about it.

I liked him as a Superman in the other movies but he was downright awful in Justice League. May be it's the script or editing.

And what was up with his jaws? He had a scar or something? Looked like CGI.

It was the mustache. They had to do re-shoots and he had a mustache for another movie he was working on.

Saw Star Wars.

Don't really know what to say. Too many weird things going on all at once. Spoiler ahead

!!!!!!

I thought the Princess Leia floating in space was weird and retarded. Snoke felt nothing compared to Sidius/Emp in the previous movies. Kylo reminds me of an over emotional teenager that cries when he doesn't get his way. Maybe someone can explain to me why Luke made a map to where he was hiding and then told Rey he never wanted to be found???? What was the point of Luke projecting a hologram of himself when he could have just showed up and at least had a great lightsaber duel with Kylo to just die right after doing it??? What was with the random girl falling in love with Fin in about 25 minutes??
!!!

I just feel this one was awful honestly. It's better than Phantom Menace and that's about it. I really don't see how they can even rebound after this crap of a movie LOL. I was really looking forward and wanting to love this movie..... good luck if you haven't seen it. Get ready for a whine fest of Luke and Kylo for 2 and a half hours.
