What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

John C. Reilly really made this movie, I think this is his best comedic role he's had.

I saw Devil last night. I expected to be bored, I have not liked a shylamalan (if that's not how you spell it I don't care) movie in a long while.

Having low expectation may have helped this movie but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought it was original, creepy and had some good twists. I liked the ending (which is what totally ruined The Happening for me) and thought overall it was a good movie.

Devil was directed by some dude named John Erick Dowdle

Shyamalan did get a story credit though. Right where he belongs.

I think Eastwood is vastly overrated. Unforgiven's amazing, I love Mystic River, and I'm probably forgetting another one or two I love by him but I feel much of his stuff is wildly overrated and feels very cliched, even rushed. No surprise as he's known for running a tight deadline. Anyway, I loved The Changeling. Loved it.

Kicky, is that first one a biopic on you? District 9 was amazing. Best movie of that year along with IB. Avatar sucked. I'd give it a 5/10.

Props to Colin Farrell. He's been in some real stinkers but dude has some range and has been great in a ton of flicks...Minority Report, In Bruges, Crazy Heart, etc..he has some new ones and one looks hilarious potentially where the two guys try to kill the others' boss. He's the one boss.

Did you ever see The Way Back? It's new and at Red Box now. It has Ferrel in it. I highly recommend it.

Gran Torino?

I get it, cause I'm gay. Very clever. Obviously you are a man of wit and class.

Those two films aren't even in the same league. It's like comparing High Noon to The Greatest Show on Earth.

No, Gran Torino was a funny pic that was supposed to make me think but like virtually every Eastwood film, had cliche after cliche, felt a bit rushed and a theme that was flawed and transparent as hell.

Regarding IB and D9, that's just like your opinion, man.

An old guy kicking *** and telling racist jokes? I'm shocked this wasn't pretty much your favorite movie of all time.

It's like KEK said, it was just too over the top cliche for my tastes. Sorry, but that's not how things really work in the real world.

Avatar = Dances With Wolves + Blue Indians
