What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Anton Chigurh is a baaaaaaad man.

I predict that you're gonna hate it. Hope I'm wrong.

You are wrong.

I wasn't sure if I liked it all that much until the ending, where I said out loud, "What the ****...? That can't be the ending.". I then proceeded to watch the credits to see if they were going to give me some sort of closure, and got none. Then I watched the bonus features hoping for some hint of closure, and got none. So there I was, pissed off. So, I guess I liked enough that I wanted to know WTF happened in the end. It was very well acted and pretty bad ***.

On the flip side, I watched this also:

Now THAT was a trippy movie. Nothing like watching Frodo Baggins eat people. This was like a weird version of Pulp Fiction, which I didn't think could possibly exist.

I absolutely LOATHED No Country For Old Men, but I tend to hate just about anything by the Cohen Bros. The 2 exceptions are Lebowski and True Grit. I find it strange that I completely love those 2 movies considering how bad I hate the Cohen's overall body of work.

A few others I've seen recently:

-Pirates 4: Took the kids to see it last weekend. Glad I wasn't expecting much because that's exactly what I got.

-Lincoln Lawyer: Thought it would suck, but I really liked it.

-Hall Pass: Extreme let down. I'm starting to feel like the Farrelly Bros are simply coasting off of their past successes such as Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary. When's the last time they didn't something that you could honestly say was really good?

-Super 8: Took the kids a couple of weeks ago even though I wasn't too interested in it and ended up loving it. Probably the biggest suprise I've seen in a year or so.

Horrible Bosses is pretty friggin funny.

Bridesmaids was funnier so watch that one if you need a comedy.
Really I couldn't disagree more, not that I thought Bridesmaids was bad just some of the jokes IMO got strung along a little to far like they were trying to being comedians comedians and see who would flinch first but I really really liked the diarrhea scene.
I guess it could've been from reading online it set my expectations higher then they should've been.

Watched the Green Hornet. It was pretty entertaining, even if it was really stupid. The acting was pretty sub-par, but that is what I expect from Seth Rogan anyway so I wasn't disappointed. I did like the quasi-Matrix-style fight scenes. Actually they were more reminiscent of the fight scenes in The One with Jet Li. The car collection was pretty cool.

Dude, Seth Rogan is my favorite actor. Quality.

which one? theatrical or extended recut

I own not one but two Bill and Ted T-shirts.

And keeping this somewhat on topic, the last movie I saw was:

Hot-Coffee-2011-HBO-Documentary-Films.jpg

Available via HBO Go.

just watched it. i like many people didn't know the true story behind that, people think she was driving, she was with her grandson(who was driving) and her car was parked. it's just terrible what happened to that old woman, those burns were a lot worse than i could have ever imagined. just awful. can't imagine the pain she went through. same with the lady that was raped. mandatory arbitration is pretty eye opening, they say 90% of those cases are lost so yeh it's not so good, sounds pretty corrupt... the political stuff i kind of got bored with, but otherwise pretty good doc.

also watched this one...

I watched the documentary "What's Wrong with Aunt Diane" on HBO last night. Not a great doc; but a very compelling and strange case about a woman who somehow snapped while driving about a 140 mile trip from upstate New York to West Babylon, Long Island (a suburb of NYC) and drove her car into oncoming highway traffic killing herself and 7 other people including her daughter and 3 nieces who were in the car with her at the time.

wow, i'll have to check that one out

My last 2 movies were Harry Potter 7.2 and Captain America. HP was one of the better ones in the series, but I had pretty high expectations that were not quite met. Captain America was very good, but it really needed about 5 more minutes at the end in the modern day.
