What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Yeah the action is great, no doubting that. What generally sets Mission Impossible apart from say 007 IMO is the deception (i.e., the masks) and the plot's twists and turns ... I just don't think there was enough of that here.

Also that scene at the opera didn't really do it for me.. nice music and pretty unique but just wasn't interesting enough.

It's in the "Good but not Great" basket for me unfortunately.

Every action movie is just meh after the bar Mad Max set.

I saw The Gift.
It was pretty good

Might go see trainwreck tonight.... I will keep ya posted.

Gonna go to chili's too I think

Vatican tapes sucked like nothing has ever sucked before. Can't believe they get away withcharging people to watch that trash.

Ted 2 and spy were both good, and that's coming from someone who finds most movies like these to be unbearably corny.
I loved spy.
One of the funniest movies I have seen a while

I enjoyed Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Very stylized. I like period pieces like that more than more modern spy/thrillers. Too bad that's the exact reason it isn't doing well at the box office.

Finally saw Trainwreck.
I loved it. Was surprised at how much heart the movie had.... Much more emotional movie than I expected.

John cena, lebron, and marv Albert all killed it. I especially liked marv Alberts small role.

At the end I lost my **** with laughter at Amy's trampoline dunk attempt.

Spy and Trainwreck both really good comedies (Trainwreck more of a romantic comedy) this year

Didn't see it yet but I am looking forward to "The Witch". Seems to have only positive reviews so far.

Anyone see The Gift? If so, how was it? Joel Edgerton is a really, really solid actor. He made Warrior.

I saw it. I think my expectations were to high and I came out of the theater thinking meh.
Had a couple of really good scares and the tension was decent.

It was a little predictable. (My wife guessed the final plot twist shocker very early in the movie)
I hated the lead female actress. Bateman was solid like usual.
The bad guy (don't know his name) was very very good.

The bad guy is the director and writer of the movie.

He was a pretty awesome actor. Easily my favorite character in the movie.

Alright, let's back into the swing of things...

I think maybe someone had mentioned this film already in this thread but if not, I saw...

Animal Kingdom (2010)

Solid film with some great acting and good solid writing. Looks as though you can rarely go wrong with watching something from Guy Pearce's filmography. I also like Ben Mendelsohn a lot but I can't think of what else I've seen him in. Definitely recommended.

96% on RT.
