What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Hillary's America.

Nothing there I haven't studied myself. The facts are real, wrapping it all up on a straight Democratic ticket is too simplistic. The Republican Party is equally cclpable. what with Lincoln being put up to run for Pres by the New York banker schemers in the first place, as part of a two-pronged international banker strategy to bust up the Union. They misjudged Lincoln for a hayseed ignoramus with inflammatory rhetoric, probably respected him less than, say, a Donald Trump. It was expected that he would be responsive to the wisdom of letting the Southern Confederacy go its own way peaceably.

The bankers regrouped and recovered all their losses under Grant's corrupt presidency. He did everything to bankroll the Robber Barons. . . . deals like land for building railroads, even helping to pay for the "private" railroads. The British came in and took over American mining as well. Oh, lessee, the Rockefellers ended up with the best mines, like Kennecott, and then sold it to the Brits. The Brits have had it as good in the States as they have it in Canada or Australia. . . .

Failing of breaking us up into bite-sized outright acquisitions, they succeeded in gaining puppeteer control of the whole. Now,"Er Majesty, the Queen" bestows knighthood upon our "best", that is to say, our most servile leaders. It won't be ten years before Obama becomes "Sir".

But, for an immigrant from India to make it all out as simple Democrat gangsterism. . . well, he is blinded by his hatred of Obama and Clinton if he thinks Republicans are less servile, or less corrupt.

Even Ted Cruz for all his principled rhetoric, let his wife work Goldman, Sachs.

Midnight Special

Tense and terrifying at times, ... somewhat flaw, but for the most part I quite enjoy it. Not sure who it's aimed at though, (kids can't watch it, too much shooting), adults may/may not like the sci-fi theme...

Still ... about the first 80% was throughly enjoyable.

4/5 for me.

Jeff Nichols is one of the best American directors working. I wanted to on demand that but it gets mediocre reviews. I'll probably rent it in 3-4 weeks.

Yeah it's beautifully shot... but the story - I dunno who it's aimed at, or what it's trying to say, honestly... a bit of a missed opportunity I think... which is a real pity since the acting is top notch and you can tell the director knows what he's doing.

Looking at Wikipedia it's grossing a pitiful $6m with a total budget of $18m ... a $12m loss so far? Ouch!!

I will watch it within a week and get back to you. Nichols IS Americana filmmaking as we know it today and just about brilliant.

it's about how she looks, brough. If someone was 80 years old but looked 14, then it'd be creepy to salivate over her..... because she looks 14
She does look young but not that young. When she was 18-20 she looked really young but now she looks like most women in their early 20s.

no she doesn't. You deserve no more cleverness than that. You're wrong.

In the past couple months, I've introduced my kids to some of my favorites in The Princess Bride and The Sandlot. It's been awesome.

Locke

Brilliant. Simply Brilliant. Described by many (well, just me), as "Phone Booth for Grown Ups"... this movie is simply revolutionary, with so much depth. Granted, men will get much more out of this than women, but it is still a very worthwhile watch for most (especially married couples, or those looking to get into a relationship or get married).

Yep, I posted about this about a year ago. Great film. One of Hardy's best performances if not thee best. He really needs to stick to the British films as I feel like he excels so much more with them.

Watched Oblivion last night. Very disappointing. Promising in so many ways, but with plot holes the size of Texas.
