What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Yes

I mean, you don't have to, but I think it would help. If you don't like the first one you aren't going g to like the new one.

Plus the original blade runner is a good movie, worth watching.

I have it favorited but I keep wanting to watch other movies first. Yet when the new one comes out I think it will jump to the top of my list.

Just finished The Dark Tower btw. I liked it much more than I thought I would.
Still mostly sucked though.

Ok I posted in wrong thread lol - watched Death Note. Pretty cool movie although from my understanding they deviated quite a bit from original anime. Wasn't expecting it to be so graphic.

I started watching blade runner. Not liking it so far

Blade Runner is going to have to do well in foreign markets. It's too abstract and lengthy for American audiences to justify its budget.

Yeah it's slow. I think if you go in expecting Star Wars or Star Trek you're gonna be disappointed. It moves at a languid pace. But if you like slow meditating, thinking scifi and enjoy being in a different world (you'd need to watch it on a large screen to fully enjoy it IMO), then you might like it.

That's silly.
Right? Who does that?

Anyways, I loved the new blade runner. I think it paid homage to the original and had many of the same qualities. It was shot spectacularly and built a world that felt believably lived in.

I actually think it improved on the original in that the main character had much more of a character arc, and the story actually had a bit of mystery to it. The original is great, but there's not a whole lot of plot there.

Hard to say it improved on the original since it didnt really do anything groundbreaking or fresh. It's a visual update that does a bit more world building. The thematic questions are very similar and the answers that are given and can be taken away are the same.

The Dark Tower

I sat through it, but I'm not gonna lie, it was a real struggle. Preachy, predictable, dull.

Actually you should go see it (no punn) seeing as you're so interesting and unpredictable. Opposites attract right?

Enjoy.
