What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

It's just unrealistic. Like I said if it's a silly comedy like The Hangover then I get it, that's the kind of thing they'd have in it. But this was supposed to be a serious movie with a serious message and yet I feel like they had to rely on an outlandish action that would never happen in real life to move the story forward & make the story exciting. It's just too contrived for me and I just can't take the whole film all that seriously.

Whatever though, I'm done with this conversation, we'd just have to agree to disagree.
So you are telling me in real life there are never bad parenting decisions that lead to tragedy?

There is disagreeing on opinions, then there are objective facts. You are living in some ideal world were negative things never happen and people never make bad decisions.

Bro, letting a strange man inside your house in the middle of the night and then going to sleep and leaving him alone with your teenage daughter is not only a bad parenting decision, it's bordering on criminal. There nearly was a statutory rape situation had that guy not woken up in time and make all that noise.

Had that been someone else's daughter on a sleepover the grandmother could have been sued for negligence.

Again, I have never ever heard of bad parenting decisions. They never happen. Ever.

I don’t want to pile on but just thought I would let you know that there are jails and prisons full of people who did criminal things and made criminal decisions.

Just finished Star Wars 1, 2 and 3. I haven't seen them since they came out and I've never watched them all in order.

I know the 1st one was universally panned but I actually really like it. I liked the interplay between Guigon & Obi Wan. Young Queen Amidala is easy on the eye. Young Anakin is smart. I thought the pod racing part was pretty exciting. Jaja Binks was annoying but he isn't too unbearable.

They weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be, but the acting is pretty dull. I was actually impressed with the graphics in them for being close to 20 years old.

It's so unrealistic tho

Are you seriously telling me a typical grandma would let a stranger into the house in the middle of the night and instead of seeing what he's up to and make him leave, would rather go to sleep and leave him alone with your 16 year old grand daughter?

That's when the movie started to lose me. Logically it just made absolutely no sense. No grandma or any parent in their right mind would ever let a stranger into the house in the middle of the night and leave him alone with a minor especially a girl.

Sounds pretty ridiculous. I can see why it lost you there in terms of its believability.

No, are those the animated ones?
I finished a New Hope last night after the Jazz game. I'm happy I decided to watch them all in order. It's been a while.
Yes, it's the first of two cannon animated tv show. The first couple seasons kind of suck but then it gets really good and makes episode three kind of make sense.

I watched justice league today. Mostly sucked though i do think the casting for superman and batman are perfect. Pretty lame movie though.
Gonna watch this Good times movie ya'll have been discussing next.

Also, finally watched Mindhunters (thanks for the recommendation Wes) a tv show on netflix, and i absolutely loved it. Cant wait for season 2.

Heh, I still think Episode I provides nice background info and sets the scene at least for Episode II. Why not slot it in between IV and II? What's the harm?

The point is that Machete order is about Luke's journey - and Episode I doesn't make much sense in that story. If you leave that out, the stories between Anakin and Luke are very similar - they're both whiny cocky bastards when we meet them, both grow in power, both take a turn to the darkness - but Luke ends up being redeemed, and then redeeming his father in turn.

If it's about Luke's journey then II and III don't matter much neither... I just don't get singling out episode I other than the fact that most people people are bagging it. I read the guy's decision for excluding 1 and one of the reason was that you don't have to put up with Jaja Binks and the pod race amongst other things... I mean that's not much of a reason.

I personally actually really enjoyed watching Anakin grow and pod racing actually goes a long way in explaining that. Also helps to explain why Luke is so good at flying in episode IV. I also think Guigon's relationship with Obi Wan was pretty interesting and really helps in understanding Obi Wan & Anakin's relationship.

Seven Psycopaths. Same director and writer of In Bruges and Three Bilboards Outside of Ebbing. In Bruges is one of my favorites and I am surprised he directed Three Billboards I will definitely see it.

Seven Psycopaths was definitely fun. Great cast. I love Sam Rockwell. But characters weren't full developed and the plot was kind of convoluted. I wouldn't call it a great movie but it is worth seeing with tempered expectations.
