What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Yeah I agree Joker would have been better without the affiliation to the comics but this type of movie probably wouldnt get a wide release without. Im glad that you can still release this type of stripped down character study nowadays. We dont have enough releases like this.

The movie itself it took me a long time to warm up to. Because for a good part of the movie it plays out about how youd expect. The best part of it is clearly the final act. The writing and the story structure at time feels weak in areas. I hate to be that guy but it makes you wonder how this movie would have been under someone like Darren Aronofsky

Kes (1969) 11/10 masterpiece, this is probably my favorite British film ever, even over the heavyweights like Hitchcock and David Lean.

The teenage actor who's the main character gives an amazing performance.

Kind Hearts and Coronets, 9/10. This dark comedy from 1949 has aged well! Alec Guiness (Obi-Wan) plays like 7 different roles. It's really got some cool special effects (i guess u'd call em that) for something from the 40's.

I've seen most of Alec Guinesses movies now, and I understand why he hated Star Wars so. It's kinda messed up thats how so many remember him, he had great range.

For those feeling desolate, dark and despair --- Heart of Glass (1976) is a werner herzog must-see film. 9/10. One of my favorites in his collection of oddities.

Crazy to see Werner Herzog in these Mandalorian commercials. I hope it's a solid film.. Boba Fett was always my favorite character in the SW universe growing up.

As I grow older and have now seen 1000's of movies, I like Star Wars the films less and less but the production, editing, lots of the minor details impress me more and more.

There's kind of this air of dread or even hypnosis that reverberates throughout Heart of Glass which takes place in a Bravarian village in the early 1800's. It's really quite masterfully done. This movie proceeds in a way that will make people uncomfortable, it's really really good though.

It really illustrates how people will quarell over nonsense, like no other film ive seen. This forum would be way better off if everyone hunted this down and gave it some time and consideration.

Sean Penn's "The Pledge" starring Jack Nicholson, is really a hell of a movie. 9/10. The old retiring cop on the last day of the job plot is soooooo played out, but the way this is done -- it's the best of them all, hands down..

Saw the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari the other night. Which turns 100 years old soon. What a thrill! Hands-down my favorite silent film and its not even close.

Night Moves (1975) Great Gene Hackman film, maybe his best.. Not to be confused with the crap that came out few years back with the same name.

I've seen probably 100 private eye films in just the past few years, The Maltese Falcon and The Long Goodbye being my favorite 2, and this is one of the very best.

Probably Nicholson's greatest, most under-rated role.

Lmao The Pledge was a mediocre film. There’s a reason it gets a 6.8 on IMDb and Penn hasn’t directed that many films.

Hilarious that Lord BSArtist says he is watching all these. Not only does he seem to be watching 2-3 movies a day but he’s doing so with movies that don’t seem to be on any streaming service.

Just finished the nightingale. Pretty good movie. Some very very hard to watch scenes due to the brutality and graphic nature.

Saw a movie called The Death of Dick Long a few days ago. It was quite good but had a very very crazy twist that i didn't see coming. And its (the crazy twist) based off a true story.
