What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Just rented "Everything Must Go" with Will Ferrell. The movie itself was "meh", but I'd be willing to bet that at some point in his career Will Ferrell at least warrants some Oscar consideration for a dramatic role. He's suprisingly good when he's not trying to ham it up.

Laugh at me if you'd like, but if Eddie Murphy can get an Oscar nom, so can Mr. Ferrell.

Good movie - I really felt for the troubled young girl. Excellent performance.

Agreed. I really like the restrained nature/subtlety of her performance as well as that of the kid and Crowe and the movie in general, though I did find the last 15 minutes of the movie quite predictable. A 5.6 feels too low. I'd give it a 7, possibly an 8.

I watched Drive too.

I liked it. Albert Brooks was great.

Agreed. I usually hate Brooks and his whining but he was very solid. That said, its' rating on imdb is way too high for me. I wonder how much people would like the film if it wasn't for the intense Friedkin-like violence in the movie. I'd give it a 7/10 and can see how people could give it an 8 but I struggle to...an 8.6 average though? No way.

Went and saw Dream House last night. It was a lot better than what I thought it was going to be and had an okay twist. Some cheesy parts but overall good to see once.

I know this is an oldie and it's probably one of the stupidest ideas for a movie ever imagined, but dammit, it was good.

50/50

Loved it. Four stars...and Joseph Gordon Levitt shall be my future husband.

He posts on Jazzfanz?
Not after she gets a hold of him. She has an uncanny ability to kill JF posters.

On topic:
My wife decided to Redbox Transformers 3 for me. They should have stopped after #1 and definitely should have stopped after #2. If Michael Bay makes another one, someone needs to put a bullet in his brain.

Watched Super 8 with the fam last night. Not bad. Kind of a Goonies meets Cloverfield kind of thing.

Saw 50/50. Thought it was really good.

Trout: The Madame and I watched Crank again on Saturday. Shockingly, Crank 2 requires extensive knowledge of Crank 1 continuity.
