What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

I loved it. That's why I asked. It would be hard to top his performance in "There will be blood". He made me believe that person existed and was alive.

Oh. For some reason I thought you were saying you didn't like it when I first read it.

Was like, whaaaaaaaa????

I saw Fruitvale tonight. It won the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at Sundance this year. I didn't like it much at all.

That's probably good that you didn't like it. It means you're not as snobby as the Hollywood folks.

I'm actually probably a lot snobbier than the "Hollywood crowd" when it comes to film, it's my major and greatest passion. I've seen the past four winners at Sundance (among other films there) and I've liked them all to some degree, but Fruitvale was very mediocre, imo. There's nothing creative at all in any of the cinematography, editing, or mise en scene. The writing was pretty poor at times in terms of character development, dialogue, and even basic story structure. Even the acting was plain awkward here and there...but maybe that's because of the dialogue they were working with...

I'm sure you'll figure it out.

OH, so it is from There Will Be Blood. The way you said it made it sounded like it's another movie.

OK - so you're saying his performance in Lincoln is not as good as in TWBB? Yeah, I think it'll be hard to top TWBB just because of the complexity of character, etc. Also it wasn't restricted to 1 historical person, so he could be quite free with it and still get away with it.

It's still one of my most favourite movie of all time. Not just because of his acting though, I thought the movie had great "feel". It came together better as a whole than No Country for old men, IMO.

"Lifa of Pi"

It's a suggestion if you like tigers, realistic natural views and of course, giant waves.

I liked it since my ancestors are from the Black Sea.
