Very little. I liked the portrayal of Mazer Rackham alright, and they cast the movie well, as I could see each of those kids as the characters. They made a few unforgivable mistakes imo, not the least of which was making Barnard part of Ender's jeesh at the end. What?
 
Great weekend for movies. Started with "The World's End", which was hysterical, and followed that up with "The Way, Way Back", which was a great little movie.

The casting was really one of my biggest complaints. They did not make it at all clear that Ender was much younger than your average "launchie" or that Bean was younger still and a runt to boot. Those were important parts or the story, imo.

Agreed. But in their defense it would be awful hard to find 6 year old actors that could credibly pull off acting like an adult. Especially a dozen if them. Even 8 year Olds would be tough.

OK so I've just finished watching "Old Boy" which is supposed to be a classic Thriller/suspense Korean film...


Have to say I didn't expect much, but it turned out pretty good.. gripping & had me on the edge of my seat all the way through!! The ending was definitely very very satisfying indeed...


This one's gonna stick with me over the next few days I think...
 
Saw Anchorman 2 last night with my husband and daughter. We all loved it. Lots of laughs, just what I needed.

Yeah, that movie is awesome

Watched y tu mama tambien last night. Very good movie imo

Yeah, everyone has sex, but can't be showing that in movies.

Meanwhile, we can watch people routinely shot in the face
