What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Peeped Xmen Days of Future Past. I dig time travel stories and I thought this was done pretty good. I wish they had closed the loop on Prof X better but all in all a good effort and a pretty fun movie to watch. Kind of made me think of the new star trek movies, like an alternate timeline reboot. Could work.

No (2012)

About the ballot Campaign against the re election of Pinoche, dictator of Chile, who has been put on his throne by a certain coup scheme creator country and will be removed by that same one.

Especially advised for people living under strong propaganda and a political culture defined by the fear of telling the truth.

Best prison movie I have ever watched. Apparently, it is based on a true story with the 3 of the prisoners serving as advisors. 9/10.

Watched "Guardian of the Galaxy" last night.

Wow.

Thinking about buying the DVD - I loved it that much!!!!

I don't think there has ever been a funnier Sci-Fi!!!!

Locke

I feel Hardy is a sort of mixed bag at times but he was brilliant in this movie. If you are the introspective type, one who recognizes their flaws, contemplates life and the decisions we make in it, this movie is for you. It's pretty much a one-man show, all of which is filmed as Hardy drives in his car. But it works. I wasn't thrilled with the ending. I don't dislike ambiguity and need an ending to be concrete but it just sort of ended awkwardly. I'd give it a 8/10 and say its his best performance to date imo.

Guardians of the Galaxy - liked it a lot. Don't think it deserves its own thread at all, but still a good flick. Groot was the best character imo. Loved him and the racoon talking to each other, great scene. "Fine, now we are all standing, you happy? A bunch of jackasses!"

Let's Be Cops - this is pretty much every buddy move in the F-word wars mold, although the F-word part was pretty much in check. It was good for a few laughs, although they tried way way too hard to get some of those laughs, and other parts were just plain awkward. Still not a bad time out for sheer entertainment value. Will be completely forgotten in a month.

Watched The Amazing Spiderman 2. Didn't like it,

Way too many things wrong with this movie, and it can all be summed up by the fact that the "final" bad guy of the show stopped his murderous rampage long enough for spiderman to give a speech on bended knee before a kid with a spiderman costume on, and then give said kid a fistbump before sending the little scamp safely on his way before taking on the murderous badguy in the (I'm seriously not making this up) rhino suit. Oh did I mention that earlier in the show the cops rightly had snipers positioned to take down the bad guy, but at the end when the bad guy in the rhino suit kept revealing his head to everyone in view the snipers are nowhere to be found.

This movie was just bad all the way around.

It is kinda like a like the Burger King $5 Summer Stunner deal though, for that you get a burger, fries, drinks, and a chocolate sundae. It ain't very good (actually it's bad for your health), but it sure is good value for money.

Blue Jasmine: This movie was great. One of Woody Allen's best films. Cate Blanchett is terrific as usual. The back and forth between present and past works perfectly. San Francisco! 9/10

Calvary: Funny and dramatic. Brendan Gleeson is great in this movie. Kelly Reilly is extremely beautiful. Don't care for Chris O'Dowd much, tbh. Seems like he bit off a little more than he could chew imo. Some of the lines were a bit cliche at times. The characters were mostly believable. Very solid movie, and would recommend for most. 7.5/10

The History of Future Folk: This movie is a good one for the whole family. Good music and it's pretty funny. They don't take themselves too seriously, and the person watching shouldn't either. 8/10

Yeah, very bad.

At the end I almost thought I was watching The Incredibles Part 2 (which I would LOVE to see btw). The way the dude stood there in that stupid rhino outfit in the middle of the street and yelled something like "feel the wrath of THE RHINO" while waiting for Spiderman to make his speech to the little kid. And the CGI sucked balls too. My wife is one who normally gets pretty engrossed in a story and when I point out later some examples of crappy CGI she says she didn't really notice, but all through this movie she was like "oh that's CGI right? wow it looks like a cartoon". Just crap after crap. Too bad I liked the first one.

Oh, and I watched Inside Llewyn Davis. I am a gigantic Coen brother's fan. This movie is phenomenal. It is very funny, and one of those films where you are rooting for the main character the entire time. 9.5/10

About to watch Fruitvale Station. I've heard good things about it.

Just finished watching "The Hunt" on Netflix. Very good movie about justice, forgiveness and the nature of man. I can see why it was nominated for an Oscar for the best foreign film category.

Gave it 5 stars (which I don't do lightly). Highly recommended.

Saw the Ninja Turtles movie yesterday with the girls. Not bad, and much better than I anticipated. Won't bother to see it again, but I did have a few belly laughs and one outright burst.

Would definitely have Megan Fox for dinner.

Great visuals, great animation with decent plot and characters but that singing. Oh, how lame. I am sorry for the fathers who have gone through that songs multiple times. Especially Stoked, 3 daughters. Damn.

7.5/10 from me.
